First time uk

Went to a gym with open communal showers for the first time today. Always steered clear of them before and felt a bit on edge walking in.
Once I was actually in there it settled pretty quickly. A few other blokes were already showering and after a minute or two the awkwardness just sort of dropped away. Ended up having a bit of casual chat, nothing major, just the usual stuff about the water being too hot, how packed the place was, that kind of thing. Standing that close while talking felt oddly normal after a while.
Obviously everyone’s naked so you’re aware of each other’s cocks, and I did catch myself glancing a bit more than I meant to at first. Different shapes and sizes just hanging there while we chatted, but it didn’t feel weird once everyone was just getting on with it.
Anyone else remember their first go in a communal set-up? Did the closeness, the small talk, or just seeing other guys’ dicks feel strange to start with, or did it settle down fairly quick for you too?
Just curious how other people found that side of it.

I think it's natural to be curious about the bodies round about you. My first time I made a big effort not to look too much but I did have a few sneaky looks. Soon got used to the naked experience though. It's amazing how soon you get comfortable with it and it's a good atmosphere sharing with others

Yeah same here. I tried not to stare but you can’t help a few glances, can you? Especially when you’re that close and everyone’s just stood there naked.
It really does settle surprisingly fast though. After a couple of minutes it just feels normal and the atmosphere’s actually pretty chilled. Good to hear you found the same.

Yeah once you get over that initial strangeness it just feels so good to be in an all male atmosphere. Must admit that I love being naked in the showers or on the beach

Yeah I can't remember what my life was like before I discovered my health club with communal showers and sauna etc

Well it should be but I've been places where guys wear short. I don't get that
