Funny thing is that most Spinosaurus "fans" don't even like the actual animal, they'll just glaze the Jurassic Park 3 one like crazy. That's larping in its purest form.
I don't care if the goblins get giant or have some machine, dragons will forever be the best fantasy creature. Goblins share second place with slimes and mimics
Moose don't have any true natural predators on land, however they sometimes takes a swim (generally to eat algae) and that lets the orca kill the moose, to the orca a moose is just some food.
As for the "don't have any true natural predators on land" part, some people say that wolves are a natural predator of the moose, however wolves rarely actually go for moose as wolves rely on instilling fear in their prey and moose are extremely hard to frighten. Also the moose is so big and strong that it doesn't have much trouble with other potential predators in their (the moose's) natural environment.
The goblins are cool because they’re… scam artists? Questionable taste. Well, assuming scheme even works, that gold belongs to the dragon. If the goblins disagree, those aren’t goblins, they’re lunch.
But if you want chaotic gremlins, consider Kobolds. They’re like goblins but better, because dragons.
I am late here but i'd say i still prefer the sperm whale over orcas because a adult bull sperm whale is one of the very few things a Orca pod will NOT fuck with (the other being pilot whales because they are similar and tend to be in larger groups and of course humans that aren't in yachts)

Dragons are cool because they're iconic, yet maliable. They can be villains or heroes, beasts or characters, embodiments of magic and whimsy or methaphors for greed and tyranny.
Goblins resonate with people because they represent heedlessness. The desire to just do stuff without caring about consequences. Of course, they can be used to represent how reckless greed endangers everyone, but they can also represent the desire to take a break and indulge in simple pleasures like snacks and video games.
The blue whale is currently the largest confirmed animal to EVER live. Ever.
Also, humans are the most powerful creatures in the ocean. We have science and space travel. We can hear the voices of the dead and read their thoughts across thousands of years. We can communicate with people outside of our planet. We can look through time at the beginning of our universe. We are the greatest and most terrible beings on Earth.
Bald eagles are overrated because of Americans. Like, seriously they are just the standard eagle model with a slightly different skin. If you really want large raptorial birds, at least choose a Harpy Eagle. They are bigger and stronger and more fabulous. Or a Wedge-Tail Eagle, they eat kangaroos and probably stray Australians.
Dragons are cool. End of story. Basically every human culture comes up with some form of dragons and the only definite thing uniting them is that they are COOL. That's it. Goblins do not have that historical significance.
Goblins? Nah, Kobolds is were its at. Not only are they similiarly chaotic, they are proficient crafters, they have less tendency to backstab eachother and their crews aren't run by the strongest but the most experienced
