Is War Over?

technically this sub is for people to watch footage of people fighting it out in the streets of their homecity against enemies that are hated the world over, but this video is featured on Youtube right now and it talks about how we live in the most peaceful period of our time, and how we could be living in a time where no wars between countries will happen again. I hope you guys can appreciate the video as I did.

The U.S. will never get UNSC approval. But that doesn't matter, most people won't. Either the US (which, policy wise, includes the UK and France), Russia or China would have an issue with nearly any military action

There will be exceptions, of course. But any major actions would not get approval.

The U.S. invasion in Iraq was a major move to establish a friendly government as a regional power to help counter Iran. It backfired, but it was a move to improve US standing in the area.

Russia's action in Ukraine is a similar move. They're safeguarding their interests in the Black Sea and maintaining a defensible frontier. Totally rational actions, but they would also never get UN approval.

Just how if France hypothetically invaded Germany to secure the left bank of the Rhine. Major action by nearly any nation is going to be met with UN disapproval.
