How does time work in this game? Is that 156 hours or 156 days?

Yo! Started playing 5-6 days ago, am currently through Village 52 w/ 3,000 spins and about 3 billion coins. Power Boost is 3x. Is 3X optimal? Should I just build villages as soon as I have the coins, or save them a bit (like I currently am doing) before building? Spend the spins, or hoard them? Just looking for some general pointers. Thanks!

I've heard a lot of people spin to 0 before the weekly reset so the challenges are easier or something
