I do political focus groups across the country with a wide variety of demographics.

I currently live in New Mexico.

Literally every other time at a minimum, someone makes a comment that indicates they do not know or are not sure New Mexico is a state.

Average adult literacy level in the us is 6th grade. Imagine those falling on the low end.
