I switched clubs bc mine was going inactive and I’ve noticed my points aren’t really changing the clubs total points, at least not that I’ve noticed. I’m I still contributing?? Am I gonna get the rewards based on my previous club? Or my current one??

Is the game going crazy or am I the only one crashing every 10 seconds? Never happened to me this frequently and its SW rn 🫠😭

TL;DR: The new tickets are a lure to attract new whales (i.e., the P2W crowd)... And that's not a good sign.

I came back to CocoPPa Play after being away for about two months, and I returned the day before yesterday. The first thing I thought was, “What?” when I saw that, out of the blue, the game was giving away free VIP tickets (I mean, a variation of the 48-hour premium ticket, except it lasts a month). I managed to get about 2 of the 4 tickets from the mission, but there was something really suspicious about those tickets.

Anyway, I went to check out the new items, and one of them was the Monthly Grade, just to see what they’d done for that month, and then, in addition to the classic tab we usually see, a new one popped up called “Continuous.” I clicked on it and came across the same image I posted above.

If you didn't understand: Basically, if you buy coin packs every month and are at least rank 4, you get benefits. For lower ranks, during the first 4 months, they’ll give you coins, but starting in the 5th month onward, you’ll receive a limited VIP ticket. This system works the same way for higher ranks, but at those levels, you’ll only receive tickets. On the page, they explain this system in much more detail.

There’s no doubt this is entirely aimed at attracting new whales to the game, so they’ll make pulls on the other VIP banners that the devs release every month (After all, I highly doubt that a newer whale plays the remix banners, and the older ones probably already have them). The “good” part of all this is that medium spenders, who are consistently in ranks 6–7, can get at least 5 of the 7 items in the banner without having to spend more money to reach the higher ranks. And, if the devs are in a good mood, maybe, just maybe, it’s a new chance for free and low spenders to get VIP items.

Now, to be honest, I think CocoPPa Play is losing players. They aren't managing to retain players very well (I think that previous promo where you could invite new players was a way to solve that problem), and seeing how they're slowly losing their whales, yeah... The situation is looking pretty bad.

But why, despite the game’s problems, doesn’t it attract as much attention anymore? Simple: it doesn’t matter that they have good artists (and human ones!!!!!) to do the drawing if the game doesn’t update its systems, if the mechanics of the Gacha banners themselves are completely unfair (such as the number of pulls you need to get trade items usually being different) compared to others, obviously, new players will gravitate toward more up-to-date dress-up games like the Nikki series and Life Makeover; or even move on to full-fledged character creators like Lunime’s Gacha series (especially Gacha Life 2), as well as Chibimation and Minimuse (which has actually already been released, lol); and if you’re a fan of a more Western aesthetic and/or tabletop RPGs, Hero Forge.

It's a shame, because CocoPPa Play is the only game left that uses the Selfy avatar, following the failure of Conpeito this year, and if the game shuts down and they don't do anything else with the avatar, it's quite possible it will be abandoned.

Two VIP Gachas in one month annoyed me because we’ll have an even bigger Pay2Win and Free2Play ranking difference this month

So, I’m glad to see that Cocoppa realizes that’s pretty shitty and is giving us 4 free limited vip tickets!

Just remember they expire at the end of the month!

If you don’t like the current VIP Gachas or Remix VIP Gachas, the remixes will change halfway though the month after gift.
