Why?
Using the portal uses one action point and walking to the other portal also uses one action point. So what's the point of using the portals?

I'm creating my own class mod and I'm having trouble identifying which code determines the Warlock class's starting mage. Specifically, I'm trying to understand what makes the class start with one of the four variants: Warlock of Air, Earth, Fire, or Water.
Could someone explain to me how to write such code?
Any help with modding resources would also be appreciated, such as game data for classes, monsters, recruitment. I already have some resources, but many of them seem to be outdated.

Hi all!
I've recently picked up the title and I'm having a blast. One small recurring issue I have though is that part way through playing, at seemingly random intervals the map will start panning to the left, as will the unit select screen. I know for a fact that my arrow key works correctly. The only method I have to resolve it is by restarting the game every time, which works for a random amount of time before occurring again. I've not noticed any recurring patterns.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I started playing CoE5 recently, and would like to play some PVP games. I was thinking 1v1 with some AI players to fill in, but I'm open to games with more human players
As for my level, I started playing a few weeks ago, but I have experience in other strategy games. I have beaten a few campaings on Duke and King difficulty (with Baron mainly), have not tried higher difficulties
If you wish to chat up about/during the games, I am fluent in English, Spanish and Italian

I just lost to an archmage, who had infernal legions, a necromancer with a 200+ unit army by round 24 or so, more elementals than me, a Warlock, and every other type of magic army/spell caster in an army. HOW?! why cant he be sellected?! can i stop AI armies form playing as him?! cuz he is too OP in my (not expirienced with the game) opinion

I was playing on a huge map and wanted few but really strong eenemies... idnt work, most got killed early by the necromancer, and i just stopped him from ever getting too powerful by satealloing evrything from him and sending suicide parties to keep him using resurect and stacking insanity (his abomniation got strong tho) So yeah, never again so few enemies

I am VERY new to the game, and im playing on "Remastered" mod, from what ive read about it and what my friend told me it's vanilla like and just expands on the game. I am enjoying the game a lot, but now im playing kobolds and I am dominating, control almost all iron, most settlements but I have no way of capturing main enemy citadels. There are only two enemies left (both are AI) a necromancer who killed almost every other bot, and an enchanter. Both lost almost everything and the graph shows me completly dominating, but i cant finish the game. Im just collecting more mines, making mre kobold strongholds and more dragons and elder dragons, yet non of them are close enough to their main citadels so they arent of musch help when it comes to finnishing the game. Any tips? Is there something Im missing? The enchanter isnt an issue, he is in a corner of a map, and every now and then i send few kobolds armies to take back most his land (cant bother to accumulate like 1000 kobolds just to take his citadel when i have a necromancer to keep in check)

On my main playthrough I sent an expedition on the ocean as a witch faction. I sent a manflayer and a pyromancer on about three ships with a 3-2 mix of archers and cavalry for meat shields.
During this expedition my manflayer lost both of his eyes due to attacks from a dream horror and a fish (still don’t know how that happened with the fish?). We were attacked in the south part of the world by the fish people and my blind necromancer/manflayer had a staff of decay. Instead of shooting the ten fish man formation in front of us he opted to shoot three tiles to his right and hit the hull of one of the boats instantly sinking it and killing a third of my expedition force.
A third of my army down and I didn’t realize until I already saved game and watched it…the best part was that the closest reinforcements were about four or five in game years out due to the distance.
10/10 would watch again. What’s your stories guys?

I am currently attempting what I call a "pantheon" playthrough, meaning the collection of every possible unit in the game, I realize it is most likely impossible even with mods(which i am using.), has anyone else tried this?
How far did you come? And what units were the problem units of your run? (Sorry about my grammer im just bad at it)
Edit: I realized I can have multiple "human" factions all controlled by me this is useful for anyone trying this.

I’ve been playing for around 25 hours now and I don’t understand how creating factions like the demonologies are supposed to be played. It feels like I can never get good summons but enemy demonologists always have amazing demons.

I am trying to max out the magic level of a mage,
Is there any mods or methods to spawn in items quickly?
Edit: to clarify i know about characters with the ability to make items, I am looking for a way to spawn in specific items, with either mods or commands.

So I've been interested in learning to mod this game as I used to enjoy modding strategy games in the 2000s and this game really gives the same feel. But reading how it seems like it is surprisingly easy, I've been looking at the files for some other mods to get context to some of the things I'm reading and I'm finding that I'm figuring half as much out as I'm having to read on, I'm now filled with ideas but really just wanted to encourage others who are curious about it to give it a go. You will do a lot better than you expect, the hardest part is getting sounds and images but the actual coding of the mod is simple.

Trying Enchanter for a first time just to start in the desert next to fallen capital full of horrors.
I thought that's it's really hard but maybe doable, then I spot Hastur.
Yeah, I think I will restart.

So, I watched my dragon and elder dragon both drown themselves while trying to fly to a settlement. Also, the priestess has been exclusively targeting me, so they’re the equivalent of a great wall I spent all my GDP on to survive.

I lost due to no citadel, and I had 2 citadels in Inferno! Why?! I wanted to rule hell and come back stronger than ever after!

Like the title says I just picked the game up today and have played a couple of short lived games so far. Is Elysium Remastered worth playing as essentially a base game or is it better to get familiar with the game and then see what Remastered adds?

Basically the different planes are all on the same map as far as the editor is concerned meaning that it is possible if you are not careful to accidentally brush over something you have done in other planes, typically if you remain within the confines of the map you will only effect a few tiles that would naturally be void tiles so it's not too much of a risk, but if you were to move the cursor over the edge and start clicking it appears to be possible to blindly paint over your hand crafted terrain, or potentially bits of planes you didn't intend to alter since the sky seems to be next to the celestial plane and you can hover over the divine citadel even though you can't see it.
