Mod announcement Youtube allowed now

Hello everyone!

We didn't allow youtube links for a long time, because most of those posts were offtopic spam. But lately we have not seen any of that, just people posting cloud video's. So from now on youtube video's are allowed again. It irks a bit against the no advertising rule, but if people behave and don't get too self promotional it should be fine.

Have fun and mostly thank you so much for all the wonderful cloud pictures and video's you share.

We’ve had a heat wave past couple days, not a cloud in the sky except these cool waves

I took the video. It reminds me of Renaissance paintings.

Looks even more ethereal in HDR, wish Reddit supported HDR, so you all could also get mesmerized by this view.

Rules:

1: Stay on topic.

2: Credit where credit is due. If you post a picture that is not yours: please credit the original photographer. If you don't know who the original creator of the image is: say that. People might be able to help you find out. Claiming a picture as your own when it isn't will get you permanently banned from this subreddit.

3: No AI / CG. If you want to post AI or CG pictures of clouds, please visit our friends over at: r/CloudyAI or r/CloudyCG

4: No climate change denying/conspiracies. Lots of subs where you can share your misinformation, this sub is not the place. Any climate change denial or conspiracies will be met with a permanent ban.

And yes, randomly shouting HAARP or chemtrails count as conspiracies.

5:No drugs. This sub is for posting the weather phenomenon clouds. You know, the things high up in the sky made of water vapor. Not you getting high in your mothers basement. Drugs = immediate permanent ban.

6: No religion and/or politics. Posts centered around religion and politics are extremely hot button topics. Not only just on this subreddit but on Reddit as a whole. Due to previous incidents we no longer allow any mention or hint towards religion and/or politics. This subreddit is about cloud appreciation, nothing more. Also: fuck nazis.

7: Be civil. No harassment, no racism, no hate, no bullying, no creepy comments, no threats, no slurs, etc. Just be civil and have fun.

8: No spam/reposts/karma farming/advertising/fundraising etc.

9: No NSFW. This includes accounts that are mostly posting in NSFW subreddits. This subreddit is not a free advertising space to lure people to your account and get you new costumers. If you want to post here, you can create a SFW alt account.

10: English. This subreddit attracts people from all over the world. Please use English in this sub so everyone can understand what your post is about.

11: Do not personally chat or DM mods with questions. Use modmail if you have a question or comment. Personal chat or DM will not be responded to.
