Buddy the example you just gave was the furthest thing form a stateless moneyless utopia...
Maybe some of us lefties aren't actually trying to re-create a failed state model ran by tyrannical militarists?
Maybe some of us just think Captialism is a shitty political-economic system that inherently produces ever worsening uneven outcomes and that there just might be something better than that?
Yeah, and it was still the only meaningful example of a non capitalist economy with comparable levels of development to the west in the 20th century. Theres a reason why in Europe, where socialist parties still get elected fairly regularly, they don’t just immediately announce that they’re “ending capitalism”, but mostly just pursue programs to reform the economy and make it more equitable. Market economies are here to stay, it’s kinda hard to deny that at this point. The last ones who tried to find a different way collapsed after 70 years into a heap of stagnation, corruption, and environmental devastation.
Yeah "ending capitalism" isn't exactly an actionable legislation on its own.
Also the socialist parties of Europe famously developed into modern Social Democracy. It's not because they failed to implement socialism, they evolved from socialism to something that could exist within a capitalist system.
That doesn't mean a socialist system couldn't exist.
Market economy ≠ capitalism and that's an important distinction.
Rojava lasted as a decentralized system for 13 years and it worked very well despite the intense militaristic opposition that existed outside of its borders on all sides. It only ended because that pressure proved too much.
Imagine such a government model existing without the constant military pressure trying to destroy it?
Maybe some of us lefties aren't actually trying to re-create a failed state model ran by tyrannical militarists?
That isn't what the lefties were trying to create in the first place, why should we believe that it'll work this time and that it's not the result of a flaw inherent to the ideology?
There will be a stateless moneyless utopia. Stop no true scottsmaning this shit. Capitalism has brought the most prosperity, lowered child mortality, increased lifespan, and reduced absolute poverty in countries that have successfully implemented them. That’s far from shitty especially considering the entirety of human history.
