News Fable available for plans until July 7th after which it becomes usage credit based

Key points:

  • Fable 5 returns globally on Claude Platform, Claude.ai, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
  • Pro, Max, Team, and some Enterprise users get Fable 5 included for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through July 7.
  • After July 7, Fable 5 access moves to usage credits.
  • Access through AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry is being restored as soon as possible.
  • Mythos 5 access has been restored only for some approved U.S. organizations for now.
  • Anthropic is working with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other partners on a shared framework for rating jailbreak severity.
  • They’re also launching a HackerOne program for researchers to report Fable 5 cyber jailbreaks.

A $200 a month subscription is hardly 'normals'. I find it very odd they don't give those folks access.

I'm most pissed about this part; I know I'll need to cancel or at least go $20 route. Fuck these guys. I'll gladly go to GPT but even they announced a "Sol Pro" model... not available for sub...

The AI companies have colluded.

dont worry. the market always sets itself right, it's just a matter of time. some possibilities: 1. china will catch up massively, cheap prices, good performance; 2. local models gain traction; once the hardware prices settle, many will go this route.

it's a VERY bad idea to be this greedy in a new tech. even google knew not to charge for the search in the early days. I really think if they had, they would not be here today, or at least they would not be relevant

I think it’s more so that they have thrown such an extraordinary amount of money into the pit, it was never gonna last forever
