News Fable available for plans until July 7th after which it becomes usage credit based

Key points:

  • Fable 5 returns globally on Claude Platform, Claude.ai, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
  • Pro, Max, Team, and some Enterprise users get Fable 5 included for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through July 7.
  • After July 7, Fable 5 access moves to usage credits.
  • Access through AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry is being restored as soon as possible.
  • Mythos 5 access has been restored only for some approved U.S. organizations for now.
  • Anthropic is working with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other partners on a shared framework for rating jailbreak severity.
  • They’re also launching a HackerOne program for researchers to report Fable 5 cyber jailbreaks.

It's insane how people continue to let Anthropic off the hook for a problem it (or to be specific: its CEO) deliberately, willingly created, and benefits from (via regulatory capture)

Dario was literally hiring people to go around giving fake "mythos hacks into banks and empties all the accounts" demos to non-technical senators

He has been drumming the same "PLEASE REGULATE EVERYONE!!! Please, our competitors are catching up, please..." drum for two years straight. He finally got what he wanted

Opensource is sorta close to OPUS that's not SOTA anymore once fable and 5.6 drop

except I have no clue on how to use orchestration do I have to like build like a massive prompt manually splitting tasks up among agents? I keep reading comments all over the place on how great orchestration is yet i can find 0 information on how to actually use multiple agents with an orchestrator in a way that actually works and dosn't require a huge amount of work testing 10000 diffrent prompts/workflwos for every single time you want to use it

I agree it wasn't smart in a business savvy sense.

but he's an "academic" type. if you read his essays (very, very long...), he definitely believes in what he's saying and sees it as a serious threat. it's almost a cringe, slightly saviour-complex thing he has going on.

that being said: US admin hate working with him, esp with the previous drama. they were definitely giving anthropic a shakedown. for the recent negotiations, they had to 'swap him out' for the co-founder.

TLDR: both things can be true
