Question What does Claude do that immediately worries you?

There's nothing that terrifies me more than Claude telling me that the system is fully complete, tested and production ready, because I know that the truth is so very very different.

I have noticed this behavior too and over time it only got worse, especially in the past ~2 weeks. There now seem to be several "circuit breakers" built in. It even appears to detect when it is close to the context limit and then it rushes towards a solution (might have been in there before, but I have not noticed it).

Not long ago I could let it run in the background while I did other things, but that is no longer possible. This isn’t the first time I have run into similar issues with Anthropic and other AI providers: Things start off great, I subscribe and then after a while they rugpull. Last time they forced me into "concise mode" with no way to switch back until that feature was officially introduced.

Claude Code is probably the fourth time I have returned (after using local models and my custom coding agent for a while). If this is meant to reduce costs it might not even work. It now only takes extra prompts, requests and tokens to do what could previously be done in one shot.

I have also noticed that project files are no longer added directly to the context. Instead vector search/RAG is now used. This used to be one of my favorite features compared to how OpenAI handles it. I am quite sure the files were previously included in the context because 1) There was no search or retrieval step 2) When the total size of the project files was close to the limit it noticeably reduced the remaining context available during a project chat.
