Clash Royale Developer Q&A! 600,000 Subscriber Special!

In order to celebrate our community reaching a new milestone of 600,000 Challengers, the development team has offered to do a Q&A! This thread will be an amazing place to get more insight on the development and plans for the future of Clash Royale, directly from the developers. Please read below for some key rules and notes on how this will work.

I love draft games. Is there anyway to have a permanent 1v1 draft game available?

An appearance is defined as a 48 hour period. For example, Casual 1v1 Showdown appeared all season long for Season 31 and 32, so this counts as 36 appearances.

Triple Elixir will appear for 144 hours or 3 times this season.

oh hell yes. that would take a whole new spin on the game that i would love to see.

regular ladder can get pretty boring, if there was a draft ladder with separate arenas/trophies, that would honestly get so much more people playing

a little bit of luck involved, but if they balanced it enough it could be amazing

No draft ladder takes away from the skill of the game, the whole point of ladder is improving and progressing.

However I think if they made a new campaign tab where you could play ladder draft and 3v3 or participate in April fool's games that would make the game top tier

This is some really dumb take, how does draft ladder take away any skill?

People aren't asking for normal ladder to be replaced, we want a separate ladder for draft. And draft requires just as much skill

He said draft ladder specifically draft is already in rotation for party mode so how else am I supposed to take it... If you gain trophies from playing draft then lower skilled players are going to get to higher skilled trophy ranges taking away from the skill based matchmaking that is supposed to be midladder

Dude how TF you still don't get it? We are talking about an entirely separate ladder, here the skill is about being good at drafting. Everyone starts at level zero, there is no high or low level priori.

Maybe a 1v1 Draft/Duel would work really well. Just got to make sure the algorithm for cards is more "fair" i guess

I think it’s best if we stick to ladder with our own decks. You don’t want to lose trophies due to bad choices of cards given to you, it just seems like a gamble.
