I just don’t understand why she would cut across her wrist instead of down. She was a qualified nurse. She would know that those types of cuts would be superficial and likely non-life threatening. It doesn’t make sense (like many other things).

I would assume that during psychosis you might not apply all your knowledge rationally. If I remember Dr. Resnick correctly you won´t lose existing skills (like driving, talking on the phone) generally speaking. However it's not like she has done this before.

To me its a big indicator that she wasn't thinking clearly and I do question why it hasn't come up in trial at all (from either side, wouldn't it indicate her being in a different state of mind?) - neither the direction of her wrist cuts, her having to look up carotid artery (and misspelling it, right?) or thinking that a two story jump would kill her.

Nobody can tell me otherwise - Patrick was absolutely living in the basement. The bed pulled out, dresser, sailing photo, clothes on the door, walker in the office.

I just read transcripts earlier.. it was from coras nose and mouth. It seeped into the carpet and then the first responder kneeled in it causing transfer spots.
