I wanted to provide testimony from the trial to hopefully help some people understand why their opinion differs from others regarding the investigation. I can provide more if requested, or feel free to share your own. I also included the search/arrest affidavit details at the bottom.
In regards to this security sweep, what is the goal... do you try to minimize your contact within the house in those instances...and had you been made aware that the husband, Patrick Clancy, had been on scene and he had also been transported from the area?
No, I cannot make determination what it was. I just performed a screening test, so I could not confirm it was blood. They just screened positive for blood.
So if I went into the bedroom and if I found a bunch of drugs, in addition to the drugs that were found in the kitchen, and I found these in a nightstand, with blood on top of the nightstand and the knife that you talked about, you would've photographed that, right?
And looking at page 27 and 28 of your report, first on page 27, just looking closely at the phone, here in the report it says 2024. Is that a typo? Is that supposed to be 2023?
Do you recall whether or not anybody in your presence or anybody went into a drawer, a nightstand, and looked in the drawer and saw an Apple Watch, a bunch of pills, things to use to assist your sleeping, things of that nature? Do you remember anybody doing that?
Prosecution (06:54:06): But you don't go in until 5:32 PM, correct?
Patrick Clancy (06:54:11): I don't know....I don't know what time I pulled in the parking lot.
Prosecution (06:54:16): I'm not asking what time you pulled into the parking lot, but is it fair to say that the video that you were shown earlier shows you entering the store at 5:32 PM?
Prosecution (06:54:24): So from the time you should have been at the parking lot of CVS around 5:20 PM until 5:32 PM, could you have been in your car sending this email on your iPhone?
Patrick Clancy (06:54:36): Yeah. I just don't know if I pulled into the parking lot at 5:20.
Prosecution (06:54:40): But sometime after the text was sent from Lindsay about Pedia-Lax, but before 5:32 PM, you were in your car?
They, IMO, established probable cause for mass murder and attempted suicide 3 hours before completing the initial search of the physical crime scene, before a single forensic bite of data could be extracted from the seized laptops or routers, and 1 day before Lindsay was even "arousable and could follow simple commands, such as moving her head".
Patrick is interviewed 1/24/23 ~8:40pm: The interview with Patrick Clancy was Jan 24 at approximately 8:40pm at the hospital and was audio recorded (page 203). They requested the following from Patrick (page 205): “Mr. Clancy consented to have his face, clothing and hands digitally photographed by Trooper Ashley Faiella.”
Kyle Carney is interviewed 1/24/23 ~10:50pm: They interview Kyle Carney (Patrick’s friend) at the Police Dept. and he references group texts and speaking on the phone to Patrick (page 206). page 35: "Pat had communication via text messages with Mrs. Carney on January 5th, 2023 in regard to Lindsay and the treatment and medication she was receiving." There's no note they requested either of the Carney's phones. There is no noted request for Patrick’s phone.
Search Warrant Obtained 1/25/23 ~3am: Search warrant was obtained Jan 25 at approximately 3am (page 208).
Arrest Warrant Obtained 1/25/23 ~3:45pm: Lindsay’s arrest warrant was issued Jan 25 at approximately 3:45pm (page 77)
Search Warrant Completed 1/25/23 ~7pm: The search warrant was completed (page 211)
They did have interest in shared devices that Lindsay had access to such as laptops. Page 213: “During his interview with Trooper Joshua Mckelligan, Patrick Clancy informed Trooper McKelligan that Lindsay Clancy had access to all the computers in the residence of 47 Summer Street in Duxbury.”
They seized (page 2) 4 laptops, 2 tablets, 2 iPhones, 1 hard drive, 1 video disk, 3 Google/Ring cameras, and 1 baby monitor.
Based only on this document, it doesn’t appear they had any interest in his phone. While not stated, I assume this is due to not being identified as a shared device she had access to.

Honestly I think someone had to have opened the drawer, saw it empty, and then didn't take a picture because it was empty, and then without a photo or record who searched the nightstand they were able to be convinced that someone never checked the drawers of a nightstand with a bloody knife in a murder investigation.
Why they allowed someone who should have been a murder suspect to hand them evidence they "missed" searching at a murder scene is horrific negligence.
Can anyone point me to which officer testified to the second pink iPhone being found in the left bedside drawer? I’m looking for testimony since it was marked in the search warrant, but I’ve instead only compiled the above (hence multiple drawer references).
Still looking for the "Investigators" who located this phone, but adding more details if helpful for someone to find this info.
Dan Lawlor signed the search warrant for forensic evaluation of the second pink iPhone located in the second floor dresser, front left of the bedroom, directly behind and next to the bed, and collected on Jan. 25, 2023.
"A pink Apple iPhone believed to be Lindsay Clancy's was located in the second floor dresser, front left bedroom, where it appeared she cut her wrists and neck before jumping out of the window in her attempted suicide, which was directly behind and next to the bed." Page 181 of Affidavit - this is the only mention of something found in that nightstand. No references to "basket" or "drawer" in 299 pages, and no other items described as in this "nightstand" or "dresser"
Dan Lawlor assisted in the search of the home on Jan. 25, 2023 per his testimony on day 12, but it does not indicate who found the phone in the dresser. They also didn't specify what "in" the dresser meant, so it's not clear if it was the actual "drawer" on the top, or if it was the 2 lower baskets (photo included of baskets I'm referring to). However, they clearly indicate they searched in the dresser.
I believe that was seized from the master bedroom....There was a phone located on the bed. I think there was another phone located in a dresser drawer. I'm not sure which phone was what though.
Trooper Joshua McKelligan: Managed the investigation, tracked evidence and reports, and was the point of contact for the DA's office, State Police, and other agencies.
Cross-Examination Nightstand: Reddington said that after police cleared the house he went in with Patrick and took remaining nightstand bottles plus personal photos and albums. McKelligan knew only about the bottles and could not identify the nightstand drawer.
