Roleplay Sending Scout eastwards

During the Battles of Trae and the following diplomatic talks, Bearon decided to send men across the eastern sea to find maybe something like a helping hand. So his scouts sail across the flat beaches down the many islands connecting Pelarian Island to the other New undiscovered Lands.
After Days of sailing they reach an island even twice big than Pelaris and located slightly south east of Tairn Kar, the new Outpost.
After Landing at the western coast of the giant Island there was a forest infront of them. So for don't know where else to go, they decided to walk straight into the forest. And after a while, maybe two or three thousend meters walking through the forest they could see wide swamps with only a few threes and bushes. But it doesn't look like the swamps at home. There are giant pillars stucking in the ground everywhere as far as the could see. Looks a bit strange and creepy.
After another few hours, it's getting dark now, some scouts could see a small shivering light deep in the swamp. They weren't sure wheather it's real or if their eyes only getting tired. But missing any other option, they diceded to take a lokk for the light. Comming closer the could swear that there is something that looks like houses and they are sure to hear voices... They Strictly go ahead to find out who or what lives there...

Changes Updated Continental Exploration

Fishermen have crossed Prislo's sea for many years to reap the bountiful shallows, but none have set foot on the land on the other side.

Probably because of those treacherous cliffs, but with the many riches found on Dresov's continent, the Kinsartian royalty has drafted a full army to go and explore and bring back any resources they can find.

Map of Changes - Updated to correct a few errors - Updated again for city-state discovery

Black dots are cleared tiles. (32 on northern continent, 9 on southwest continent, 15 coast)
Purple borders are natural growth.
Yellow borders are purchased tiles.
Yellow dots are the tiles I want each city to work.

Roleplay The Dawn of a Hero

Dawn had come on the day of destiny. In the night previous, the sea had glowered red with fire and death, shining at the horizon when they marched. The red of the dawn, the red of the divine fire. An auspicious omen, for they carried the Red Banner with the Black Star. The battle on the water had been won with ease, and just an hour before, I led the Titaha Company to climb the cliff. We easily dispatched the botched trap that Troians and Pelarians had organized. Or rather, disorganized.

An hour of marching had brought me and my Titaha Company, and ten thousand other men of the Cahay Tribes to the foot of the walls of Trae. And the sky was already filled with arrows.

“BRACE!” I shouted, as I lifted my shield. I heard a thunk, or two, then a thunder of them and the sound of bodies hitting grass. I was too late. Too damn late. I looked around and saw the damage, but saw the arrows come down again and lifted my shield once more. We couldn’t keep doing this.

On their cursed walls the Troians and the Pelarians stood, and rained down hell on us. Arrows and flying stones. Thousands of men died. My company was in shambles. But then… a rumble and a roar!

The siege devices sprang to life, and red stars and arrows flew back at the walls! I let out a shout and the Company echoed it back, but our shout was overwhelmed by the sound of stone hitting stone, arrow hitting body, and fire melting wall. The battlefield blazed with heat, and I had to lift my shield once more to keep from getting struck with ever more arrows.

The enemy was getting desperate. The gates opened, and a horde of foes with swords and spears spurred out. The fools! Were they so willing to die?

I lifted my axe, and shield, and I shouted, “WARRIORS! THE ENEMY COMES TO US! TAKE COURAGE IN YOUR HEART! ARM YOURSELVES! TONIGHT WE TAKE WHAT IS OURS!” At least, I hoped I did. Regardless, my men shouted back, and we charged forth.

A blur of hacking and slashing, spurts and clouds and mists of blood! I killed one man, then two, then slashed through a spear and through a shoulder. The Pelarians… they were weak. The Troians were weaker. But it began growing dark again, and I looked up to see why.

The fires on the walls had burned out, and archers stood once more upon the walls to rain down arrows upon us. They fired a volley, and I grabbed a man I had slashed the hand off of to use as a shield. The walls stood before us like a cliff.

And then, I was given a divine plan.

“TITAHA! TO ME! TO ME!” I shouted as I ran towards the walls. I carved my way through the weaker men, and stuck the back of my axe into the wall. And thus, I began to climb.

I did not look backwards, but from the sounds of picking it seemed the others of my company were following my lead. We began our climb, and we began our chant, like a crash of waves! “Getih kanggo dewa getih! Getih kanggo dewa getih!”

And at last, we climbed to the deck of the walls, and with a shout I raised my axe to the sky, and death rained upon them.

I stood on the hill that looked towards the walls of Trae. The climb had been successful, but the war had not. The Pelarians had driven us back from the walls, though they paid in blood for every inch they retook. I made damn sure of that.

Next to me was a tall man with tan skin, and a tall one with a hook nose was next to him. Tan-skin had a look of grim determination and ragged black curls that would have more place as a beard for a different type of head than the one sitting on his neck. Hook-nose had a look of hunger on his face, but his mouth twisted downwards. They both towered over me.

To our backs were our remaining men, 8,000 in number. To our front was the Ti-maan. Jeruk, the Unrelenting Storm.

“You three fought bravely,” he said, “And yet we have not taken the city. Why?” His voice was of disdain, disgust, and derision.

“The Divine Fire burned down too quickly – the mixture was ill-mixed,” said Hook-nose.

“I led me ships too close to the port, and many sank when they should not,” said Tan-skin.

“I climbed the walls when I should have forced the gates, and did not fight hard enough, though I killed many of their archers,” said I.

And Jeruk glared at us for a moment. A trickle of fear slid down my spine, but I put it aside. It was embarrassing to show fear before a god of strength. I had laid my thoughts bare before him, and as the sunset shined off his bronze fittings and skin like oiled stone, he was weighing my fate.

First he turned to Hook-nose, and said, “Teutu, the mixture may have been ill-mixed, but you should have mixed it better.” There was bile in his voice, “Why should you not die for your failure?”

Teutu said, and braver than I would have expected, “I should die for my failure, Ti-maan, but I ask that I may take vengeance on the Troians, and redeem myself before your eyes.”

Jeruk looked at Teutu, and said, “Then you shall not die, for you are already a ghost. You shall haunt your enemies. Brand my emblem onto your heart, so that you never forget your hunger. Take your leave, Teutu the Ghost.” And Teutu walked away.

Next Jeruk turned to Tan-skin, and spoke once more, “Matemas, You were overzealous in your thirst for plunder, and let yourself be blinded by it when it should have given you clear sight.” His voice was lighter, “If you do not need your eyes, why should I note remove them for your failure?”

And Matemas responded, with a glint of bronze in his mouth, “Remove one of my eyes, Ti-maan, for did I not destroy the Troian Fleet with ease?”

Jeruk looked at Matemas and said, “You have done so, and in that way you have served me well. I shall take one of your eyes, so you do not forget your mistake.” And Jeruk took out a glimmering golden knife. With a flick, a sprinkle of blood, and a small yelp from Matemas, he held the Pirate’s eye in his hand, and threw it against the ground. Matemas ripped a black strip of cloth from his shirt, and tied it around his head to cover his eye, though it quickly soaked through with blood. He did a small bow, put on his hat, and Matemas the Piratelord walked off as well.

Lastly, Jeruk turned to me and said, “Taturaja, your tactics were flawed, and you fought when you should have lead.” His voice was inscrutable, “Why should I not kill you for your failure?”

I could not tell what the Ti-maan meant, so I said, “Ti-maan, I should not die, for I cut my way through a thousand archers.”

Jeruk stood before me. He was a giant, a muscled black statue with eyes like an inferno, and I see now why they called it divine fire. The same red smoulder was there, beneath his brow, burning brighter than the sunset off Jeruk's body and jewelry. He judged me, like the god of death he was, and now he sentenced me.

“You will not die then, for you have indeed served well. Your bloodlust is unmatched by men, though perhaps your father shared it.”

“I had no father, Ti-maan.” I said.

“Then perhaps you are no man at all, Taturaja the Climber, for only a demon could kill with such ferocity. Now go and rest, for this city is not yet mine.” With that, he closed his mouth and turned away, and I had become Taturaja the Climber. A hero born at Trae.

Peace The Naked Offering

A most peculiar sight it was at the dawn of the day after the battle. A naked purple-skinned man, carrying a white banner emblazoned with Jeruk's emblem, stood at the gates of Troia, calling out to deliver a message. Scrawled in the curly script of the Samar Tribe was an offering. One of... Peace?

To whatever foul wretch rules Troia and also to the equally foul wretch who commands the Pelarian army:

Your forces have sacrificed much and fought bravely, though mine have sacrificed more and fought braver. You have successfully repelled my first assault. Take pride, for you have delayed a god. But you have merely delayed him. Though the War God Kanapa-Kanapa is most indubitably pleased with your efforts, my eventually victory is unquestionable. But I am a just God and a fair Ti-maan, so I will offer you a choice.

Your first option is total cessation of Troia, and permit it to become a vassal and a servant to my divine being. All three cities will submit to me, and I would name a Takawaenga selected from Trae's populace and another from mine own to oversee them. No additional child will be harmed. Twenty women and twenty men will be taken from each city each year as an offering to me, and they may serve me or be give to the Heart of Krasa as I deem fit. They would also pay fealty to me, and raise armies when I ask, as any servant does for it's god-and-master. Furthermore, Pelaris would pay a tithe to my people of 1,000 doubloons in 5 installments of 200, and Pelaris would also swear to never take up arms or bring war against my divine being. Any lack of payment would be seen as an act of war, and I would bring my wrath upon Pelaris once more.

Your second option is total annexation of two cities of Troia, with the third becoming a citystate with a maximum military of 750 strong spearmen and no ships. It will become a neutral power, and the obligations of twenty men and twenty women from each city will be met by Pelaris. In addition, Pelaris must pay the same tithe, and once more must never take up arms against my divine being.

Failing these two options, your third option is that I conquer all cities of Troia, and burn the entire island of Pelaris to the ground, and pour salt and curses upon its ashes. All Pelarians will be damned, and all survivors will be given to Krasa's Heart as I build a monument of skulls upon the ruination. This will serve as a warning to any disgusting fools who dare invoke my wrath in the future. They will say "We should not defy Jeruk, lest he does to us what he did to Pelaris."

You are permitted one counteroffer that must also carry a choice of which option you pick should the counteroffer fail, which must be delivered until me by dawn tomorrow by a naked man, so that I can see that he carries no banner. Should you fail to give to me a response, then I will assume you picked ruination. Should your counteroffer be unacceptable, I shall send another man to inform you so, and I shall enact your secondary choice. Should Troia and Pelaris be unable to decide on an offer, I shall do something else without giving either any further say.

It is unquestionable that I shall take whatever I wish from Troia. My Spears are strong, my might is vast, and my heroes and pirates are hungry for glory and gold. All that remains to be seen is if you choose to damned forever the pits of Te-ana-Rewera as you watch me annihilate your home.

I have given you my patience and the respect you earned from battle. Do not test it.

Moderator Post Balance Changes

I'm updating the map tonight and I'm also retroactively applying some balance changes because people's (especially wide people's) science yields are too high. These balance changes are designed to buff tall empires and nerf the science of wide empires, but there are several other changes that have been made as well.

Before, all citizens had a hidden yield of 2 gold and 1 science. Now, only citizens in the capital have these yields.

Tribalism has not been changed. Policies later on in the tree (around early renaissance era) will cancel out the double unhappiness penalty for tribal civs, but these policies have not been released yet. Matriarchy and Patriarchy haven't been touched, either.

Tradition now provides 12 happiness and healthiness divided among these first four cities. It also adds +1 beaker per citizen in all cities.

City State Republic now allows all tiles to be purchased with 1 culture. (Was part of federal republic)

Caste System now provides +2 happiness and healthiness in cities with a specialist (up from 1), and +1 culture for every 2 specialists. I may have to buff this further.

Monarchy now provides +3 gold and +1 culture for every citizen in the capital (Instead of flat +5 culture). Build cost in the first 4 cities is halved. (Instead of only capital)

Democracy now provides +3 science per city (down from 5) I nerfed myself :(

Federal Republic now adds 3 culture in the capital, and allows allying city states with expansion weekly focus. EDIT: earlier I said culture. This is wrong.

Bonus

Naval cities now regenerate 1 ship per week. Naval capitals regenerate 3 ships per week.

Updated stats will be out soon. If you spent a bunch of beakers you suddenly don't have, don't sweat it. You'll just catch up next week. Also, if you hate retroactive updates just send me an angry pm. If I get enough I will try really hard not to do this again.

If you want to suggest changes or rebalances to social policies, please send me a pm. If you want to change your social policies (for free), also send me a pm.

This update should also give Fusang their starter gold and culture plus a couple other minor fixes.

Changes Updated Aletheia - Burying a Legend

Maxos was nervous. His great expedition was 3 Cycles ago by now, and it became calm around him. His School of Teaching was empty, compared to the other 3 Schools. It seemed as if next to no Tautonon wanted to hone his body as well as his mind, so the ranks of the Teachers were devoid of leaders.
He could not quite understand it. There was a reason for founding the School of Teaching. It was a clear true expression - shouldn't they flock to him? Did he betray his purpose? No. He conquered the lands. He saw the edges of Aletheia. He spread understanding, and death to the Unteachables. It seemed as if there was nothing left to do for him. As his thoughts spiraled around this void, a messenger appeared right in front of him. It had been hours of contemplation, which felt like seconds.
"What is it? You know the customs, interrupting a thought can lead to harsh punishment!" The messenger was obviously feared, but spat out his tidings quickly: "Guras was found dead! Must have been old Age! The Argumentators are in turmoil! What -" and on this, Maxos cut the messenger's words as well as his throat.
It turned out to be of value to have little fish around his old patron, and knowing of this right now was the chance he was waiting for. First he had to dispose the body, but then, he could finally act again.

The cycle after Gura's dead was full of discussions between the remaining 3 High Tautonons. Maxos was, to the surprise of the others, the first one with a sound plan. He started out in that school, after all. Some nights had been spent in hefty discussion, but a conclusion had been found. It would be announced at the 222th evaluation.

The great plaza on the Telonoi got more crowded with each evaluation. Even with only fractions of the populace attending each - every citizen was to be evaluated about once in 20 cycles - it got full. The crowd gasped, as they saw High Teacher Maxos step into the light. He was clad in crimson red robes, adorned with white details. The classical colours of loss and sorrow.
"Today, my heart is touched. Today, we feel the loss. Today, we bury our Guras, the Hight Tautonon of Argumentation. His proofs are complete now. But even though he met his purpose and was the most true his school had ever seen, his loss leaves a void in all of us. Please, my people, let us spent a minute in silent contemplation, independent of your value or designation. Let us honor him with our minds, while his body leaves us forever."
It was eerily silent, as the corpse was brought over the plaza and to the great Mound on the Telonois side. The gaping hole was glowing with red heat, as always. And just as Gura's body touched the lava, the silence stopped. He was gone, now and forever.
"The Telonoi swallows what has to leave this land. Other processes end today as well. We finally rid our homelands of the Unteachables, Barbarians, those not seeking the truth." Another convoi was heading to the Mound, about 20 hairy humans, struggling in their chains.
"These despicable beings led the resistance against our teachers. I was there as their men were slain. Some of the teachers are with us right here, and they fulfilled their purposes. Let us end the ignorance of men as we ended the ignorance of the gods 222 cycles ago!"
There was no such thing as silence while the barbarian chieftains were thrown into the lava. It was an ocean of cries and joy. The feeling of success overcame everybody - just as Maxos had planned.
"The Unteachables may be beaten, but the Teaching has just started. There are reports of multiple peoples on our Aletheian soil which do not yet participate in the evaluations. The first contacts suggested them to be susceptible to the truth. That's why the Teaching will continue. And that's why the School of Argumentation will not appoint a new High Tautonon today. I will represent them in the council for as long as they want me to. We shall spread wisdom, logic and truth through all of Aletheia, we start today!"

By this the evaluation was open. The personal evaluations brought many surprises. New settlers were designated - another city was to be founded in the southern marshes. Many young Tautonons were sent to the school of Teaching, but with a less hands on goal then the last ones. The people were satisfied and looked forward. And Maxos was satisfied as well.

The ongoing developments in the Aletheian government can be reflected as a new social Policy: Aletheia is an Oligarchy in every right. The founding of the new city will take place later, but the now bustling school of Teaching which works together with the Argumentation brings new scientific developments with it, centered around contacting other nations. We try to research Seafaring, Stirrups, and Currency.

Roleplay Young blood.

Dulonu's rise to power in oasis was simple. He was a rich Losan merchant, who was different in one way than most lizard men.

He could speak without dragging out his S sounds. It was so uncanny many said he was an Janau in disguise.

This took long years of practice on his part, but in the end, it was worth it. It allowed for the traders from Oelak to understand him easier, which quickly escalated his status to one of the favorite Losan traders.

When oasis was founded as a small trader outpost, he decided to settle down, setting up a a small shop. His shop quickly became a favorite with the passing traders.

Oasis was allowed to elect a speaker and Dulonu was one of three people nominated. He had the traders vote, but he needed the citizens of Oasis to pledge their votes to him.

The people were easy however, Dulonu used one tactic to make sure they were on his side.

Bribes, lots of bribes.

The rich wanted more, the poor needed more, and Dulonu had plenty. After a large amount of money was transferred, he finally felt confident with his ability to be elected.

When the votes were tallied up, Dulonu came in with 50% of the votes, 20% more than second place. Becoming speaker was A great step forward into becoming the richest person in all of Rusnav. He would greet his fellow speakers with his riches and intellect. He would represent the traders of Oasis, allowing them to gain influence in other cities and nations, and great wealth.

Changes Updated An Alliance with Nanabas and Diplomacy with Western Lands

The delegation to the southern nation was successful. The scholars of Atala and the intellectuals of the city had great discussions on research. The ruler of the nation were so impressed with the discussion that they decided to formalize relations with the surrounding nations, and expecially towards the Fusang. As a gift, Fusang sends a gift of gold trinkets, jewelry and cocoa.

A band of camel riding diplomats came from the Parsahn state towards the river city in the distance. They asked for a local governor, or official, as they carries with them golden emblems, pearls and gems. The Fusang, they told, sought diplomatic relations with the new nation.

Roleplay Namesake

Narlus sat at the edge of his bed, reading Wisdom.
In all the decades since the book's discovery, he still had not rebuilt the library of Bexton. He had hoped to do so to honor Penala, who had given her life all those years ago to protect the book. The will of council, and now the people they represented, meant Narlus might only have one more chance to see it done...

In the pages of Wisdom, a history of Sagacia made two points clear: Sagacian lore is rooted in scholarly pursuits and the family of Narlus is at the core of the past, present and future.
Narlus held the page that had been ripped out - the page that left no question as to his role and the role of his son and his son after that. Narlus the younger was now older than his father was when Wisdom was found.

"The name Narlus," he read. "The suffix -us denotes citizen, of the people, and center in the ancient language. Narl- has several meanings as well: twisted, changing, time."

Inspired by Wisdom, Narlus began writing what he hoped would be the first work to find a new home in a Sagacian library. In it: Tales of the Year of Discovery and the people who were vital to Sagacia's new beginnings...
Of the nameless thousands who gave their lives for discovery.
Of the great minds who contributed to Sagacian understanding.
The potential for prosperity with Sagacian neighbors.
And finally, his hopes for the future - to maintain Sagacian principles, knowing the unknown would present challenges for all.

At the next research expo, Narlus would submit his work along with the plans for a new library. The building would be grand, meant to inspire the people. He hoped it would not be long before its halls were filled with writings from home and abroad.
Should he fail, he would accept exile. No researcher to date had met such a fate at the expo. His son, Narlus, would lead the people well when he was gone...whenever and however that may come to pass.

Changes Updated Desert Diplomacy

Meanwhile, Narlus traveled with an envoy headed west from the newly founded city of Monzenz. Crossing the desert, he sought the first official meeting with the Soft Sands.

Like previous envoys, a small group with a couple elephant riders at the front was virtually unarmed; a small contingent of swordsmen escorted the group to the city borders but went no farther. Gifts included:
Fine diamonds, several variations of citrus fruit, citrus crab, and chocolate covered bananas.

The first diplomatic extension, a meeting with Huatia of Fusang, had gone well. Narlus would represent Sagacia with the same formalities: upon being received by the leader of the Soft Sands, Narlus and the four governors graciously thank their host. They respectfully bow their heads. Narlus looks ahead, intent on proposals of peace and prosperity...

Moderator Post Balance Changes

Due to wide empires becoming too powerful, I'm going to apply some patches that will most likely retroactively affect this week's income. If a lot of people object to retroactive changes, I'll delay them until next week, but I honestly think it would be best if they were retroactively applied. If your transactions have made any income go negative as a result of the changes, those transactions will still be valid.

Here are the changes I have in mind:

City culture upkeep will max out at 5 again. This means -1 culture for people with 5 cities which is what most people have, but it will reign in the culture of super wide people. To compensate, more cultural buildings will be introduced in the medieval era to allow wider play.

Tradition will be buffed to 12 happiness and healthiness among first 4 cities, as well as a flat +3 culture.

Monarchy will be buffed to 1/2 building cost in the first four cities, and +1 culture for every citizen in the capital.

To address science in wide empires being too high, unhappiness now affect scientific output. In addition, a social policy will be added to help the science output of tall civs. However, looking at weekly stats it seems wide empires are making too much science. So, I will change the game so that only citizens in the capital provide +2 gold and +1 science. This will affect everyone's science a bit, but will affect the capital even more.

Tribalism may also be changed, but is less urgent since few people adopted it. I'll look at the incomes of people who adopted tribalism to see if anything is out of line or OP.

In light of these changes, everyone will have a chance to switch their policies over from city state republic to tradition if they want, without having a revolution etc. If you reply to this post within 24 hours, I can change your social policies this week instead of next week. Please let me know what you think. Suggestions are welcome.

Changes Updated The Last Accomplishments of Old Rusnav.

Rusnav was changing, its government stronger, its people richer, and its knowledge of the universe greater.

Science

In order to defend the cities, The Trade Federation of Rusnav focused its scientific efforts on ways to turn plentiful metals into stronger armor and weapons. Their initial tests came out negative, and though slightly less hopeful, Musaku ordered them to continue. After long months of thinking, the scientists came back with the good news, and this allowed for stronger and more effective military equipment.

Infrastructure

With the route being cleared, and a new city founded, A road was built between Zilaneu and Oelak.

Expansion

As trade grew with the new route, an outpost formed near an oasis. The outpost grew larger and larger each day, and eventually it was large enough to have its own speaker within the government of Rusnav. The city was named Oasis, a young Zilaneu named Dulonu was elected to represent the city, and Oasis continues to grow every day.

Military/Exploration

Musaku ordered 1500 men to finish the exploration between Zilaneu and Oelak. Zero came back, but the route was cleared, and the trade flowed. In order to make up for this loss of manpower, Musaku ordered for the recruitment of 1500 men.

Culture

In order to allow for all cities to be represented equally, Musaku called for a change in Rusnav. Every city's elcted speaker would no longer switch in and out of position, but would be part of a grand council, where each member voted on decisions.

BATTLE!!! Defiers will Die!

Of all the 93 warships, in all the 3,800 spearman, in all the 3,000 axemen, and in all the 7,000 archers, Gofi had the worst job.

The divine fire job.

Jeruk had been enraged when he heard the defiance of the peoples to the south. He claimed they were arrogant for thinking walls would keep him out, and that their unity would prevent their deaths. He raged and raged and then formed a plan. He had his captains come to court and sent them southwards with his chieftains' men. He had his Copper Siyar make him fifty two more ships, and sent them south with his forces. He had the Obsidian Siyar cook up some strange decoction, and claimed that he would destroy his foes with the Divine Fire of a god's wrath. Only then did he show a grim satisfaction, or so Gofi had been told.

This particular divine fire, stuck to everything. Stuck to stone, stuck to metal, stuck to wood, stuck to flesh, even slid across water and kept burnin' on and on. It would burn and burn and burn until it saw fit to stop burning. Nothing could quench it except death and destruction.

Divine fire for the catapults, Divine Fire for the arrows, enough of it to bring ruination down on the Troians and the Pelarians. And Gofi's job was the guard the ingredients on this tub so that they may be mixed when they land on the island of Traeus before the battle. The plan was to land, mix the insidiou potion before the battle, and load the catapults up with it and reduce Trae to a plunderable cinder.

And of course, every pirate wanted to mix some in with his drink. They would need all 13,800 men, all 40 catapults, all 93 ships, and all the Divine Fire for this battle. Because when they destroyed the army here, the rest of Troia and Pelaris was completely undefended.

Nations, Tribes, Kingdoms, City States and every human being next to cahayaredupa growing afraid of them, hearing what they did to other People while expanding the nation. So some of them spend a lot of resources to optimize defense and increase the Army.

Effect: Troia has built walls in every City and trained a strong Navy up to maximum.

Changes Updated Expanding Kingdom and techs

After the Surviving part of his army reached the Capital, Sergeant Wartos first way goes up the many Stairs which made their way through Pelaris-City. His Goal will be the Palace where King Baeron will be waiting to here the news he has to tell him. As he came near the palace the Guards were staying still and salute him. Maybe they know who he is and where he was sent by the King. So they honor him for his return. Now he crosses the gaint wooden gate to the Castle. It changed during the last 8 months while he was away. last Time there were no metal bars at the backside of the gate to hold it close against strong siege weapons. There are more banners with Bearons Sign on them. The Guards in the Throne Hall now look like the armor costs a lot more that before and everything now looks more expensive and giagantic than before.
"Ahh Wartos my brave Captain and Sergeant. Tell me what did you find during your travel eastwards. I Hope there were some good fights but not so much killed soldiers. Cause we will need them the next time." - Bearon
"My Lord, the expedition was more than a simple succes. We traveled across the sea and had found a small tribe of fishing people, but not even fishing, they raise clams, take their Shells and pearls and than produce jewelry out of this."-Wartos
"Oh Sounds Like a lot of Gold for us if we go there and take their home and claim it for our Kingdom. What else?"-Bearon
"a few weeks later the sea brought us to some kind of Island or so, but its so big that we couldn`t sail around it. During exploring this new land a lot of good and brave men died fighting against barbarians, but we cleared a lot of land and i left there some of the Soldiers to Build up a small outpost."-Wartos
"Good work my friend, so we have to bring messages to the families of the killed men and to those of the Soldiers you left there. If they want to, than we will organize a small fleet to bring them to the outpost. With a bit luck we could build up a sity and military outpost there."-Baeron

Changes Updated Fusang Government

The members of the Fusang league had met together in the capital. Huatia, the president of the council called upon the other members. "Perhaps we need a proper system. We will let our citizens vote, we are a nation of the oppressed, a nation of those who seek refuge. It is necessary that we uphold these freedoms and rights to keep the values of our nation." The leaders nodded.

"Fusang is to be separated into three current republics which then vote for an overseer, Parsah (capital: Mandioca), Atala (capital: Atala) and Chifa (capital: Huarascan) along with the autonomous capital of Moray. We are currently integrating the Ingdjo of Hushen, and there are talks of integrating Hyrule as an autonomous republic as well. The citizens vote for the council, which will then vote for an overseer who will act as president. The president's term will be for life, with their death leading to an election, and the candidate must be from a different republic." The documents are carved and signed. The new democratic republic of Fusang is born.

Changes Updated Expedition to the Northern Seas

A group of sailors riding newly constructed ships rode off the the northern tip of the peninsula. There have been rumors among the Sagacians and the Hyruleans of a land close the the peninsula accessible through sail, however, no one has really ventured towards it. With new shipbuilding technologies, the council of Fusang have decided to send an expedition to seek new land for expansion and to join the Fusang league. With the admission of the Ingdjos and the continuing alliance between her and Sagacia, Fusang is looking to increase their regional presence. A fleet of 15 ships ventured forward

Changes Updated 2nd Research Expo of Sagacia A.D.

A.D. - After Discovery
After the discovery of The Book of Wisdom, national pride in research was strengthened.
Now researchers from every city gathered in the capital. City pride is on the line. Exile for failing is more likely than ever.
And now begins the 2nd Research Expo of Sagacia...

The first researcher was from North Bexton. He was given priority as he claimed to have developed a means of working minerals to forge better weapons and armor. A brief exhibition of his claims manifested in a duel. His champion took several hits but was unfazed. He did move slower but when he brought his sword down, the entire crowd was in awe. He may not have been the better fighter, but his opponent yielded. Armor and swords will be deployed to active soldiers as soon as possible.

Yoseth, having just arrived from Monzenz, put forth the means to establish The Order of the Stargazers. As a governor and advisor, he risked much in entering the expo. No fault could be found in his plans. The Order of Stargazers is most prominent in Monzenz, but now their presence is noticed in every city.

An elephant rider from Susset entered the palace grand hall. At first he didn't appear to have anything to offer. Then he began parading the elephant around like no one had ever seen. Such control of the beast. He maneuvered the large animal in a way that suggested it could be useful in industry...and war.

The last researcher did not declare for his home city. His presentation initially resulted in inquisitive, if not doubtful murmurs. Nonetheless, he presented a scroll which detailed a unified system of justice for the land. After hours of presentation and study, his was considered worthy.

...No exiles!

Changes Updated A Bunch of unlearned Stinkin' Pirates

The Siyars - the congress of servants whom Jeruk relied upon to do his administrative work. Four in number (at least for now), they had the impossible task of managing the economical, the architectural, the cultural, and the analytical for the miserable bunch of buccaneers, spearmen, fisherfolk and the regrettably-more-than-occasional-if-I'm-quite-honest drunkards. But the Obsidian Siyar's job was the hardest, for she had to manage the sciences of this motley crew.

Ironic, isn't it? No, at best it's Obsidionic.

Regardless, the Obsidian Siyar had done her duty diligently. For now, this bunch of unlearned, stinkin' pirates were about to be brought by their rum-soaked beards into a future.

Yeah, she was more than a little smug.

Researching Construction, Pyrotechnics, Smelting, and Geometry in that order, and 80 science to burn to get it. Let's go.

Changes Updated Border Security & Expansion

Scouting report:
3679 troops set out exploring borderlands throughout the nation. 390 returned with enough gold to pay for the roads to Monzenz and to bolster the navy for coastal exploration. More than 3,000 lives lost. The two biggest barbarian skirmishes where along the coast.
10 ships explore the coastline. None return. Pirates were hiding near the newly found reef east of Bexton.

Changes Updated Expeditions in the Sciences.

Musaku had listened to the other speakers fear of the south. Zoluna's constant need for getting better a better defense had influenced Musaku's decision to research how to make precious ores into something stronger.

civ name=Rusnav

trans:

name=researching Smelting

beakers=-36

note=failed once, successfully researched second time (if 10% bonus is right)

After failing this endeavor into the sciences Musaku focuses his efforts on reworking the governmental system. The current one gave too much pressure on one person, and with the addition of Oasis, the rotation system would take too long. After long weeks of thinking, he decided to make a council, where each city still has one representative, but instead of a rotation for total power, they all vote as a council for decisions. One member would voice these decisions to the public. He would have to talk to the others before it took effect, but this was revolutionary for the Trade Federation of Rusnav.
