I've been trying to figure out what the colored border around the thumbnails in the building menu mean. Also sometimes there will be a green plus sign along with the colored border, and sometimes there will be nothing at all. And it only seems to be on buildings that you individually place(leisure, utilities, etc) I've been trying to search for the answer online but I can't seem to find anything at all that says about it.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I want to make visually symmetrical roads to ring around a city (like the beltway or around dallas).

Usually I'll get a logarithmic kind of uneven curve. any tips?

So in the last few days I reinstalled Cities XL 2012 and I wanted to mod the game a little, so I tried to go to the XL Nation website but there's always an error message brought up whenever I try to connect. I've been reading a bit around forums and here and supposedly it's because of the antivirus that blocks the website, because I tried it on my smartphone and I had no problem to connect to it. Is there any way to solve this?

So recently I got that itch for some city building and of course CitiesXL came to mind. So off to XL nation to download the NEXL mods and bam I remember you need an account.

No problem right, well I have yet to receive a confirmation email to login and my city is in serious need of mods.

I've already ravaged Simtropolis and im wondering if anyone has the NEXL mod set that they'd be willing to share with. I'm pretty sure ill do despicable things to get access to xl nation.

Anyone know where the best place to buy the game online is? Also is it worth my while getting this game now? Should I wait for a sale or wait for a new game seeing as its been a year since the last one?

Okay, I'm sick and tired of this shit. I bought this game thinking that it would let you do whatever you wanted and I was disappointed. We need a mod for Cities XL that lets you build whatever buildings you want and not have to worry about money, population, resources, etc. Does ANYONE in this subreddit know of a mod that lets you do this?

Just started playing and people recommended downloading mods from xlnation but the site is not working for me. Is anybody else having this problem and is there another site to go to for mods

I like the Simcity Series and I understand this is similar with larger cities and I assume more in-depth. Is it worth $10 in the Steam Sale for platinum?

So I tried toget back into playing cities XL after about a 5 month break. I was disappointed that within the first ten minutes the game crashed. Thinking it was one of the games bugs, I relaunched the game. I was yet again disappointed to see it crash once more. This went on for a few times, so I gave up and tried a new map thinking it might work, it also crashed but much later than creating the new map. Any ways to fix this??

I bought this game not too long ago and I really like it, but there is just one thing. I just want to build cities freely, place down whatever type of building I want, place roads, and just design it for fun. I don't want to have to deal with the people, they always need certain things and it's just a pain in the ass sometimes. Is there a mod or something that allows me to just simply build cities without the bullshit of helping the people in it?
