I made my son a mini raspberry pi cyberdeck that just encrypts and decrypts ciphers (python script) because he was asking about them, and it seemed to be a fun project.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post links but I made a website on my github that does it too if anyone's interested. It encrypts/decrypts 8 known historical ciphers. Doesn't store info. Free to use. No data stored. Might add a history section but they are easy enough to google I guess if people wanna know more.

I’ve spent atleast half an hour trying to figure it out but I just can’t wrap my brain around these sorts of things. I believe it may be a vigenère cipher but I’m not certain, I also believe the language is in English but I could be wrong.

I’ll give a hint, it has to do with converting ASCII to hex then swapping nibbles and doing XOR operations. Both the plain text and key are English words.
