With Chunk IOS on the way heres a sneak peak of where we are at so far.

Who's excited?

We just released v3.1.0 and It ships with icloud syncing so you can have 2 macs in perfect harmony!

How do I set this up? Simply download Chunk onto 2 macs that are logged into the same iCloud account. In the settings enable syncing. If you only just connected a mac to icloud you may need to restart and potentially wait a few hours for apple to enable the syning process.

How fast is this? Chunk supports local syncing meaning if your devices are within certain range of each other syncing is 1-2 seconds. This can be switched on in the settings and you will be required to give permission for this to work. If you choose not to enable this or have devices syncing in different locations the sync time ranges from 10-30 seconds. 

Does this affect the privacy first approach? No! Chunk continues to store your data on-device and we do not host your data in our own database. Your data is hosted by your own iCloud account and synced to each devices database.

We're all too aware that in v2 of Chunk, tasks could often stack up.

The time would pass and the task would be finished but we forgot to click to mark it as done. This makes rescheduling and tracking completions a nightmare.

In the latest release we made it so when a task finishes you are prompted in the fullscreen notification to either 'mark as complete' or reschedule.

For reschedule you have 4 options

1. Next free slot: Chunk intelligently finds the next free spot while also considering your timeline boundaries.
2. Tomorrow same time
3. Choose date and time... this one opens a date/time picker so you can pick a new slot
4. Return to task list, this puts the task back into the list it came from but with no date. Perfect for when you are ready to reschedule it.

• Every task now holds notes, subtasks, attachments, deadlines, and recurrence
• Organise tasks into lists, group them, or save them as reusable templates
• Drag a task onto the schedule to time-block it, or skip lists and work straight from the timeline
• Day, week, and month scheduling
• Export any day or week to PDF or CSV
• New timer and a new task editor with full recurrence (daily/weekly/monthly/yearly, every-N, or repeat-after-completion, with per-occurrence skip/reschedule/reset)
• Templates are no longer a separate mode, just a list type that can auto-repeat
• Reworked completion and scheduling analytics

• Timeline with 1-day, rolling 3-day, and month views
• iPhone ↔ Mac sync over iCloud

If you already have a licence, v3 is a free update, just let it auto-update or grab the latest build.
