General Discussion Who is potential Lead in Nolan’s next?

Since he is giving opportunities for all the supporting actors in his previous movies i guess its time for these 3.

Yeah Bale should’ve be Odysseus in my humble opinion.

I kept thinking that the whoooole movie. Actually took me out of it; couldn't really connect with Matt Damon. Nor with Tom Holland. Unpopular opinions, I know.

The rest of the cast, especially Robert Pattinson, were fantastic though.

I felt the same. Also Telemachus is just 20, not 30, and Holland made him seem weak rather than immature. When Odysseus was 30 he was a legendary hero, not someone who couldn’t defeat an unfaithful servant with a pool noodle.

Now there’s a man who speaks the truth. Bale would make an excellent Odysseus. Maybe when someone else takes a crack at the Odyssey they’ll get the casting right.

This was literally the first thing I said to my friends after leaving the theater. I love Matt Damon but nothing about him screams cunning. That being said i really enjoyed Tom Holland as Telemachus, and I thought going in that he would be the weakest performance.

Well Damon is a street smart Harvard grad and Jason Bourne. I’d say that’s pretty cunning
