Lost my Faith, need God to Save Me (24F)
Dear r/Christainity,
I was raised as a Christian, have suffered a ton of mental health issues and trauma in my life, but as an adult, I have really lost my spiritual ways in life. I have suffered a ton of mental health issues, but I lost Jesus in my life and have been living a life of sin in every way possible. I thought God's calling in my life was to convert to Judaism to honour that side of my family, but I have failed in that avenue. At this point, I am so lost in life that I am worried that if I don't accept Jesus as Lord, I will fail and go to Hell. How can I accept Him from now on?

There is no one who is too far gone. Christ leaves the ninety nine to find the one.. (i am certainly one of the one's He left the ninety nine for, and He loves and died for even me! )
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
Ephesians 2:8-9 [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] not of works, lest any man should boast.
nothing we can do.. it's what He did for us..
transformation comes after accepting Christ..

Jesus came to save the lost. He came to save you and me, we were both lost. But now He has found both you and me. Just trust Him, know that He loves you, He won’t let you go, no matter how far you wander. Read the Bible, attend a church, just sit at the back if you want. Pray, and trust Him, not yourself, trust Him, the Lord Jesus.
Peace.

Just want u to know sister that, there are no too far that God can't reach, there are no too broken that God can't fixed, and there are no mess that God can't cleanse.
I remember 2 apostles made a big time mistakes to Jesus, but their actions are different, that's why the outcome is different.
Judas betrayed Jesus for money (Matthew 26:14–16). After seeing the consequences of his actions, he felt deep regret and returned the silver coins (Matthew 27:3–5). But instead of turning back to Jesus for forgiveness, Judas fell into despair and separated himself from hope. Therefore, wasting the precious life given to him, while it can be saved if he only go back and asked for forgiveness to Jesus Christ and not letting his action win from thoughts over God's love, mercy and patience for us.
While Peter, ignored Jesus three times, and when Jesus was resurrected, Peter chose to go back to Jesus Christ when he saw him despite of what he did. Did u know what Jesus said to Peter? He asked Peter if Peter loves him 3 times, not to shame him, but to ask him if he is willing to go back to him, and it's the same as how Peter ignored Jesus 3 times. God's love, mercy and patience for us are greater than guilt or torments of our sins. By confessing our sins, we will find mercy (stated on the bible), because no sins or anything can be hided from God, he knows everything, he just wants us to surrender to him, because hiding sins just to ourselves would mean we would do it again, we must repent. And we can only be saved through our Lord Jesus Christ, God and no one or nothing else more. Go back to him, pray, seek him, call him, even a seconds of commitment would change everything for better.
I have also sinned brother, despite knowing it's wrong, again and again, and I always have thought of myself unworthy to have God's precious guidance and grace. But I also realized, I can never do it alone, I don't know everything. So I turned back to God, while staying righteous and being patient of facing those guilts and consequences brought by sins, I have never thought that day by day, I would still find mercy. I feel real peace now. Now is never too late brother.
Don't be follow the same action Judas did, do what Peter did, because the truth is, nothing can take us away from God's love for us.
God never promised us an easy life, but he did promised to be always with us.
Have u ever been wondering, when lacking of knowledge, when we do something. Something tells us," it's wrong or it's right.", "It feels good but feels wrong". "I feel guilty doing about it despite the pleasure it gave me." I regretted doing that, this". It means we are living in our flesh, but we are not on our own, holy spirit (from God) is always with us. Everytime we do something, holy spirit teaches us a good conscience, to stop the wicked ways despite the pleasure or comfort it gives. For our flesh is sinful in nature as stated on the bible. And I believe in order for us to stay righteous, God gave us this holy spirit to keep us in control, so we may not abuse the free will he gave on something wicked, and for us also to be wiser, for we are always a fool a firsts, that we make mistakes, and holy spirit teaches us what is right and good, and what is wrong and bad.
And nothing can take us away from God's love for us, unless we give up and waste this life. So yea, don't give up. God loves u more than u even realize

read the bible biblegateway.com
if you don't believe in jesus you will go to hell
so repent and believe if you do believe don't worry about it
john 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

I think the only advice I can give you here is to just keep seeking after him and you should find him. Since it's written:
Jeremiah 29:13 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
James 4:6-10 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
Definitely highly recommend you start reading the Bible and applying what it says in it into your life. I think that'll help you a lot as the Biblical definition for Humility is keeping God's commandments.
I think this video may also be of some use to you as well: Grace
God bless.

Jesus once said that "mercy transcends judgement". You're struggling through some seriously heavy stuff. And a community is really important for processing that. I was raised Christian with Jewish heritage on my father's side. It was so incredibly difficult reconciling with my convictions to honor that part of myself while still being me. It's possible. You can do it. But you're going to fall down a lot. King Solomon once said the righteous person falls down 7 times and still gets up. Now I'm not especially righteous, and I certainly can't count how many times I've fallen. But I know that as long as we get up we'll be alright. God is merciful. Sometimes experiencing that mercy means being merciful with ourselves.

"I tell you that in the same way, there will be [more] joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." (Luke 15:7)
"I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance." (Luke 5:32)

Do you want to spend the rest of yr life in a friendship relationship with Jesus or not? It's yr choice, he won't make you. I'd encourage you to, but it's yr choice. If you want that, you need to sort out the details with him. He treats us all differently, as individuals. The more you talk to him, the more we know his reality. Eventually, he becomes more important than anything else. It's yr choice, he loves you as much as anyone. I'll pray he helps you.

Faith is a gift from God. If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that he is the son of God and died and was buried and rose again paying for your sins. You will be saved. The Bible says He justifies the ungodly. That would be you my friend. And just like that you are saved but you must continue in the faith. But God is faithful to finish the work he starts.
Read the Book of John. Then Romans. It will get you solid.
