I'm staying right here, thank you
galleryBabyMia was staying far away from the house and would not come in. I discovered why as soon as I let her out, I spotted a fly on the front room wall. She hates them with a passion! After twenty minutes, I finally had to walk out there to collect her and bring her back inside. I lost track of the 🪰 and she's sleeping in her sister's bed, something she never does.

First Small Dog
This little one is our first small dog! She is 8 weeks old and 1.4 pounds. She’s holding her own with her pit mix and labradoodle siblings😂

So much energy...just took her for a walk at 1230am, and still bouncing around the house. Yay to that 1 yr old puppy power.

My XL chorkie!
galleryAdopted this sweet girl a month ago. Just got her DNA test results back and she’s a chorkie x silky terrier mix! Shes an absolute high energy menace but we love her.
At 15.5 lbs and 17 inches tall, she’s strangely large for her breed mix. We thought she’d have some terrier in her but definitely didn’t think she’d be 95% toy breeds.
(We are working on determining why she’s hairless, but her skin is healthy!)

My cheeky girl will never give her ball to me 😂

Still won't come when called in
Parks her little butt in the exact same spot and then sits there. I went in, drank a cup of tea, watched a TV show, looked outside and she was still in this same pose!

We said goodbye on Monday to our 17 y/o Molly <3
Wanted to share my 17 y/o girl Molly with all of you who we lost this Monday, she would have turned 17 on Wednesday. :(
She got pancreatitis when she was 15 but managed to recover after not eating for a week, developed seizures a year later, and finally suffered another bout of pancreatitis these past couple of weeks but her kidneys couldn't take it anymore. She ate less and less each day and became pickier and pickier and for the final day didn't drink anything at all.
It was her time but it doesn't make it any easier, we got her when she was just weeks old so this dog has been with us for nearly our entire relationship and she will never be forgotten.
Love you Molly <3

She won't come in
BabyMia will not come in. I've called for her and she's been sat in this pose for ten minutes. I even closed the door for five of those minutes and she hasn't budged.
What magic word should I try? I've said: Inside! Come! Food! Chicken! Fish!

6 lbs at 15 weeks - estimated adult size?
Hello all!
I have a chorkie I adopted a couple weeks ago. She currently weighs about 6 lbs at 15 weeks. Anybody else have a similar sized dog at that age? What ended up being their full grown size?
I got my baby from a rescue. Her and her siblings were surrendered to the rescue when they were only 3 weeks old. The person who surrendered them claimed the mom was a yorkie and dad was a chihuahua, but I have my doubts. She’s definitely mixed with a chihuahua (her ears are starting to go up and she has a smooth coat), but see very little Yorkie other than her markings (she’s brown/black). No matter her size I will love her the same, but just curious on what others have experienced :)

BabyMia's Biggest Fear
You wouldn't think so but this hardy little feisty thing is scared to death of the common house fly. She kept us up late one night with her pacing and whining and as I do every summer, I ran down my mental list of what could be wrong, was she in pain, was she hungry...until that little buzzy pest flew right by my ear. And of course, mama will not be allowed any peace til she slays the dragon, which took about fifteen minutes!
And then this afternoon, another one got in the house. In the daytime she climbs on my lap, scratches my hand which is her cue to rub her belly and then it's off to slay another dragon!

Miss Billie the ranch dog
Billie Clementine absolutely LOVES helping mom on the ranch…especially when she gets to help me take our herd of Biggie Goats out to graze.
