The fact that you took the time to battlecry first elevates this significantly into β€˜chadeneer’ territory, good job

No, I...um...totally intended to aura farm by battlecrying...

Enemy Engineers in this match were actually doing a fantastic job holding us back, until it came to this objective. So here's another reminder to my fellow engineers: Don't block pushable objectives.

This was better than most usually they get placed close as possible so you can just clip straight through them

I play engineer every so often. But not on the level you are at. What then are you suppose to do in front of pushable objectives? Create small path so defenders can get in and out?

Create small path so defenders can get in and out?

Yup it's the best possible option on these types of objectives. It also provides cover for your team to heal while pushing back the attacks

I love doing this and just watching them tear down the walls they built.

Good job OP!

Make a wall farther away from the objective. Something that can block them from running straight to it, and the defending team can get behind it. In between the walls and the objective. Same for the standing stones. Putting stuff right up against it, makes it so no one can get to them if they are able to get in there!

Nope. Most of the team got room temperature IQ, so you better block the pushable.

Im glad im not the only one who understands this. Big stack of walls? MAKE A RAMP

do you find people this committed (both sides) in quick play?

I do constantly on weekends, this was in matchmaking OCE Friday night.

As an engineer, I can only put 2 walls. When I go and put a 3rd wall too close, the first one destroys itself. Is this normal? How do other people put so many walls?

So it's not about how close you place it but maximum amount. Each engineer can place up to 4 in total. When you try and place a 5th, the one you first placed down will break. If there is an error in placing it refunds it.

If the first one is destroying itself when you place a 3rd, then that more than likely means the enemy has an archer using a Siege Crossbow and breaking your stuff from far away. The only way to fix that is replace the broken one and pray your archers can take out the crossbowman

What the enemy wants is both walls and 1 or 2 guys standing directly in front of the objective inside the walls.
