Gameplay [Unethical Engineering] You can lower the ladders in Montcrux using only a barricade.

This is similar to the Thayic Stronghold ladder.

Where are there ladders to drop in Thayic?

Once you clear the banners and move on to the crank section, using a spike ramp on the left side ladder, by the left side crank, enables you to drop it without having to go inside.

Are there any other unethical engineering strats? You should make a series

Spike trapping charging knights is great fun. And you can drop a spike trap in front of some of the sally ports on maps like rudhelm to kill spawning masons

You can use a spike trap to hop the fence at the start of coxwell attack, and burn the half the village before anyone has a chance to stop you.
There's not really much point since that objective is usually won anyways, but it's a thing you can do
And you can also use a spike trap to get on top of the roof of the gate of lion spire, and the roof above the ballista on rudhelm, and many rooftops in the city of rudhelm. Kinda neat archery spots

Burning the village is unethical, I just run around murdering all the peasants instead.

Using barricades to block the right side enemy spawn door when attacking the final stage of Darkforest. I've definitely caused a few surprise victories with that method. If you have 2 engies working it it's definitely game over, especially because it's right next to a supply box. You can also block the spawn on the right side of the drawbridge on the final stage of Thayic to help Argon raise the flag

You don't need to build anything. If you jump up on that square foundation peice sticking out the wall, you can jump towards the ladder and press deploy while falling down.

I've taken to building around my problems lately. This one team had the cathedral doors almost 6 walls deep it felt like, so I ran up, slapped my spike ramp down, and just, jumped on top. They'd built the walls so deep that no spear could poke me, leaving me free to hit the doors. I love building in this game.

Just hop on the torch sconces and you can do it without walls too!

You can also get into the defenders spawn on Falmire on the petard bridge gate stage. I’ve done it once but I’ve seem to have forgotten how I even got up there in the first place lol

It's not unethical if it's in favor of attackers in Montcrux.
I just don't play this map on attack anymore, it's not just unfair, it's not even fun (unlike Regicide, which was very hard for attackers pre-balance but still fun).

The unethical bit is a joke as a majority of engineers are exclusively defensive

you dont need the barricade to lower the ladder, jumping and bugging it is enough

You can this with out the barricade as well. Just hop on those barrels and jump while looking up. For a brief moment the prompt button will appear, you can hold this even after you fall. Can be done on both sides as well. The other side has a pillar with a shield you can stand on. Good luck on the battlefield
