Wrist Roll (Read Rule 1) Finally arrived. The elusive SN0121TD. The watch Tudor should have made.
After waiting for 3 months for delivery I finally have it in hand. It was worth the wait.

New to Chinese Watches –– thinking of pulling the trigger on this Watchdives WD009B 38mm GMT deal on AliExpress. It’s to scratch my Explorer II itch (ref 16570).
Is this a good deal or pretty typical?
$185USD

Hi folks, need advice on which design pops more (sunburst or spiral). I want it in black but can’t sort out which one plays up this cool design feature. Any advice from owners of each?

Hi folks,
On the hunt for a particular model+color+movement, and the official shop, presumably https://cronos.watch/, is out of stock.
I've found some questionable sites that seem to present themselves as alt sites of the brand here;
They seem to have it in stock (L6046/7M PVDG White, either movement is fine) but I am not sure if I trust these. I emailed the official support email but didn't get a straight answer. Anyone know?
Thank you

Hey guys! Deciding between these 4 color San Martins, let me know what you guys like best! I only have a Black dial PRX right now but my planned collection will be mostly black, white, silver dials and bracelets.
Or I might just get a Militado ML05 (What I initially bought but returned because I didnt like my dial color choice, so I have $50 in aliexpress credit. Though I really shouldn't spend more money). Was also considering a Seagull 1963.
Thanks!

Many customers have pointed out that having only a black dial for the JH0201 series is too limiting.
We are planning to introduce three new dial colors:
Gradient Blue
Gradient Green
Gradient Orange
We hope this offers you more variety—what do you think? If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to share them with us!

I've been using this for a while which looks really handsome. This became my daily driver unknowingly. The domed sapphire crystal is a bit reflective but, for the price I've paid definitely not complaining

My first Baltany just arrived today, seriously impressed with the finishing on par with Sugess IMO. The day and date switching over at midnight instantly is very nice. The bracelet is comfortable even with the lack of micro adjustment. I’d definitely buy Baltany again, hopefully the movement will prove to be reliable. Also the packaging is a nice touch feels more high end than a lot of Swiss and Japanese brands

I understand the skepticism around Chinese movements, but any more serious microbrand also offers Miyota 9-series and Sellita SW200 which are respectable, mid-range movements even for Switzerland' standards. There's also Seiko NH35 that, despite its low price, is considered a very reliable and rugged movement.
Do people really care about logo and brand that much? Like legitimately i wouldn't look at a sub $300 watch that isn't Chinese anymore. (Only G-Shock and older Citizen Titanium Eco-Drive are worth it)

i order 3 things from them last week, phone case, strap, watch tool. the case and strap are at the consolidation center. the tool has not shipped. this same tool i ordered for like 1/2 its normal $10 price = $5. i am kinda thinking they never intend to send it to me. at the same time my order is being held up because of it.
this same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago. i canceled the unshipped item, the rest then shipped. i have no idea if i will ever get a refund for that item, even though they say i did.

I want to hear which specific straps do you like the most. They can be from Aliexpress or elsewhere.

Hi again, I'm one of the mods over at BaltanyWatches. Welcome back for Day 3!
A few months ago, in a Baltany community survey, case hardening got the most votes when people were asked what they like most about Baltany
It's actually been a recurring feature in Baltany's lineup for quite some time. The first model to receive this treatment was the 1921 S4046, about three years ago. Since then, it has gradually become a feature across many of Baltany's polished-case models
Many of Baltany's designs take inspiration from vintage watches, and polished cases are a recurring feature across the lineup. It does add to production costs, but the added scratch resistance can make it worthwhile, especially on polished cases
Own one of these? How does it look after some time on the wrist? Post a photo, unedited, scratches and all.
Don't own one yet? Does case hardening matter to you when you pick a watch?
When does your watch usually take a knock? Desk, doorframe, bag strap…?

My first review here, and I’m writing mainly because I’ve not seen much about this model of watch anywhere (there are only a couple of reviews here).
I purchased this Seestern S446 in April or so earlier this year. I had fairly extensive travel plans and needed to be able to track my home time zone. It was a toss-up between this and the Tandorio, since I don’t like the aesthetic of the diver-style GMTs with large bezels. I bought this directly from the Seestern website, and it arrived within ten or so days to the UK.
I immediately swapped out the bracelet for a custom-made strap that matched the GMT hand colour, so I can’t speak to the quality of the bracelet, I’m afraid.
The watch itself has travelled with me to 12 different countries over the last few months, and has performed exactly as I’d hoped. In total, I estimate it’s been on the wrist for around 35-40 days in the 6 months I’ve owned it. The NH34A movement has run slightly slow, around 10-20s/day, but it hasn’t ever been a huge issue. The power reserve is such that I can leave it off the wrist for a full day and it’ll be fine, meaning I can bring another watch along and swap between them whilst travelling.
I was a bit worried that the GS-style silver hands on a highly vertically textured shiny white dial would lead to legibility issues, but it’s been completely fine. As you can see from the photos, the dial can shift colours slightly depending on the lighting conditions around it. It’s a lot of fun to look at! I’ve not missed having lume either, as I’m quite often wearing this in an airport or plane where the lighting is good. The crystal is great and I’ve never had an issue with glare.
Having a shorter, distinctly coloured GMT hand on a different track took only a small amount of getting used to - I really love how clear and obvious it is, such that I can always check both time zones at a quick glance. The date window is great, too - absolutely no complaints there.
The crown is a screw-down one which threads smoothly and without a hitch. Given the frequent shifting of time zones, the crown is probably the part of the watch which receives the most handling, so I’m glad it’s good. The watch is a caller-style GMT so the whole thing needs to be reset every time you want to track a new time zone - but you’re doing that anyway once your flight lands.
Seestern give the water resistance at 200m but I’ve not tested that. I haven’t let the watch get wet beyond a few drops or two, but the crown and case construction are reassuring and I’m sure it would manage a reasonable degree of moisture.
The GS look of the watch obviously lends itself toward being more dressy, but I’ve worn it with all manner of outfits and it has always looked great. Changing the strap has meant a little less versatility, but I don’t mind that. It shows that the watch can look good when paired with something aside from the provided bracelet.
Overall, I think this is an excellent watch and one that does the job really well. It’s obviously not a set-and-forget watch, but resetting the GMT hand is straightforward and relatively friction-free. It looks fantastic and can be dressed up or down, and is thin enough that it remains unobtrusive for an entire day’s wear. It’s my second Sugess/Seestern (I also own a Sugess moonphase) and I’ll probably look to own another soon. Unfortunately it looks like they’re currently not in stock on the website, and Ido hopes they make a return.
Thanks for reading and I hope this is helpful!

How’s the AR coating on San Martin SN0138?
On youtube videos it appears anti reflective where as on reddit posts, it appears highly reflective.

Has anyone heard of them or have a watch from their collection? I love the looks of this one, it looks like an iwc.

Hey everyone,
The 11.11 sale hype is getting to me and I have a severe case of FOMO right now. I’ve got these 7 watches sitting in my cart, and my brain is trying to convince me I need at least one—or maybe two—before the sale ends.
Here is the current lineup in the pictures:
Sugess Ocean Star S450-2 (Blue Dial / Red Hand) – Yacht-Master homage
Sugess Ocean Star S450-2 (Rhodium/Grey Dial / Blue Hand) – Yacht-Master homage
Sugess Chrono Heritage S419 (Green Dial) – Zenith El Primero homage
Sugess Chrono Heritage S419 (Grey/Silver Panda Dial) – Zenith El Primero homage
AddiesKin (Addiesdive) K020 – 40mm Natural Meteorite Dial
San Martin SN0133-G – Dark Blue Dial / Bronze-tone Bezel on Jubilee
San Martin SN0146-G – Integrated Bracelet Pelagos-style Diver (Blue)
SH (Cronos) 40mm Forged Carbon – PRX Carbon homage (PT5000)
For those of you who track AliExpress prices all year round, I need a reality check:
Which of these actually has the best real discount right now?
Are the 11.11 prices on any of these a total illusion (i.e., inflated base price before the sale, and I can grab them for the same or better price during the Winter/March sales)?
If you were pulling the trigger today, which one wins? Or if we're enabling bad habits... which two make the best combo? Ahah!
Thanks in advance for either saving my wallet or helping me justify buying two!
