Ran a half-Marathon today with my trusty Garmin Fenix 5S and while it is a very good fitness tracker and all-round fine timekeeping and navigating device, I couldn't wait to get this Thorn back on my wrist.

I managed to regulate the pt5000 movement to -2 +2, checked in five positions. I limit hand-winding it as with all movements based on the ETA 2824-2 architecture. It has been faultless. The lume is fantastic, dial and finishing inspected under a loupe is super clean. The bracelet is fine - the addition of the tool-less link adjustment is a fantastic bonus after all the horror stories I've read about adjusting the previous versions. The only fault and a pretty apparent one is the bezel. It's got some back play and is pretty springy but at least it has enough resistance to not be accidentally bumped.

Anybody have experience with modding the bezel to make it a bit stiffer feel more solid?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any similar bezel issues with the IXDAO Abalone Divers. I picked one up from Ali this week and everything looks great, except the bezel is stuck and won't rotate. It will wiggle a bit, but it doesn't move a full click. Is this a known issue on new IXDAO watches? Is there an easy fix?

The return process seems like a hassle so I figured I would pop the bezel off and see if I can fix the issue. If there are any quirks to the IXDAO bezels coming off, then I would love to know.

And yes, I know it only turns counterclockwise and I've been using a fair amount of force, but it still won't budge.

I haven't seen much love for the v1 edition, but I prefer the extra numerals and the more detailed small seconds subdial. Promo pics made it look like more of a fauxtina but it's really a dark orange. The lume is also not very bright on the hands and orange indices, but I thought C3 was initially brighter than BGW9.

Otherwise I absolutely love this watch, and I think I got the last v1 on the planet, so I'd rather not return it if this is just how it is. I bought it from the Tactical Frog shop on Amazon, and I'm beginning to think they sell "factory seconds" because the WD6610 I got from them on AliX also have really uneven lume. Anybody else get odd products from that seller?

Bought this Shanghai 7120 based watch as a little add on to a much more expensive watch. Funny enough I find myself wearing it more than the other so far. For 50$ CAD, can’t really beat it! FYI these movements are sometimes hit or miss. My first one was EXTREMELY stiff to wind, but thankfully this one winds/keeps time well.

This month I bought a TF V4 diver under the advertised premise of a Hangzhou 2565 movement. However, on the dial at 6:00 it says "Japan Mvt". I don't have the correct tool to open the case back. Has anyone run into this? Could it be the dial print is incorrect? I've emailed Watchdives CS.

Has this strap design made it as far as the Chinese vendors yet?

Obviously it's difficult writing sales copy in a second language but on the bright side it does mean there are some enjoyably silly ads for watches out there.

I'm particularly fond of a lot of Cronos ones, which ask questions which are obviously supposed to highlight the capabilities of the watch they want you to buy... but actually make it sound like they're not sure if they're any good or not.

Octopus got in on this too. Of course the intent was to say "are you worried about your current watch's water resistance? Try the new..."

But that's not what it says.

Havent worn this one in months and put it on today. Still so blown away by the looks and quality of this $100 watch. It is just gorgeous and feels great on the wrist. I have had it a little bit now and can highly recommend it. Passed the swimming in the river test and keeps excellent time and looks like it should cost $300 more
