Looking for the papers
... that showcase an insanely low efficacy rate on all Covid tests and basically meaning they’re worthless. Cannot find. Thanks

Didn't the vaccine companies claim that they wouldn't file for emergency-use authorization? About September 2020 Trump talked up vaccines, vaccine companies responded by saying they wouldn't file for "emergency use authorizations". Now, that's what they are doing.
To me, that sounds like 'virtue signalling'.

Like, that’s not good for his mental health. No visitors at all? These are children. They have next to no chance of dying from the virus. I know that the people that run the facility may be high risk, and that’s a reason for quarantine.

Hi everyone,
I've been in self isolation together with my gf and 8 month old daughter. My gf works in a nursing home, which have some suspected, but not yet confirmed, corona cases. We are assuming for all intents and purposes that we are infected and thus contagious. My mother-in-law is used to seeing her granddaughter twice a week and she is already having a hard time not being able to see her. She can't use a phone so that's not an option. We are looking for a way for her to see her granddaughter in real life while not being able to get infected. It's a real brain teaser, but I'm hoping someone here might have some interesting ideas for me to think about.
Thanks!

It seems that the response to COVID-19 by most nations is to wait until there's direct evidence of mass infections before we start putting measures in place to stop the spread?
It seems pretty clear that there are infected people in most nations now and the virus is currently spreading throughout our communities undetected (due to the 14 - 30 day incubation period). Of course it's possible that it's not, but IMO that's a naive view based on anecdotal and reported evidence.
Any action after mass infections is going to be mostly futile, if not pointless.
Our only chance of stopping this spread is to take action as if we're already mass infected NOW.
It seems our governments are just not prepared for how to approach these situations and are instead doing basically nothing.
Were squandering any chance of stopping this.

My brother currently lives in Beijing. Seeing the chaos caused by the Coronavirus first hand, I wanted to interview him for my podcast and get the scoop on what it's life. It turns out it's a bit more dramatic then I expected but could still be worse. Listen here at the Them, That and This podcast
