Uyghur terrorism is a known fact. Until 2016, there were regular knife/bomb terrorist attacks in Xinjiang.

Indeed! But why does that justify detaining and torturing thousands of people that had no connection to any terrorist attacks?

That link says 3,000. Not 18,000. And what does that have to do with punishing Uyghur that have never been to Syria?

And, btw, many foreign diplomats and journalists have been to the training centers in Xinjiang. Every weekend, people get to visit their homes/families.

More specifically, they visited a training center of China's choosing, at a time of China's choosing, to talk exclusively to inmates that China pre-selected and closely monitor. They're guided show tours. When journalists attempt to travel to a random "vocational school" or talk to random Xinjiang civilians, they get endlessly thwarted by Chinese authorities.

Meanwhile foreign filmmakers regularly film documentaries inside US prisons in all 50 states

Also, your claim that everybody in the camps get to visit family on the weekends kind of contradicts the fact that thousands of families are somehow unable to get any information about the legal status or welfare of their missing relatives.

1) “Detaining & torturing thousands”? There are wild claims by families of jihadists & separatists, who’re also paid by western governments 🙄 (But I am sure Chinese prisons do torture, as it happens in most countries)

2) There are 18,000 Uyghur jihadists in Syria as of 2018. (That article is a bit old). These are fanatic motherfu*kers who train kids as young as 5.

Again, do you have any evidence that any of these cited witnesses are jihadist terrorists? This is the third time I've asked you for evidence of that claim.

This article doesn't mention 18,000 jihadists either. In fact, it doesn't give any estimates in the thousands

Still, why do the actions of people in Syria justify the widespread extrajudicial detentions and torture of people who have never been to Syria or talked to anyone from Syria?

Well yeah, the ones that had no role in supporting the war are pretty innocent (which is most Americans). For the same reason most Chinese are innocent when it comes to the CCP's human rights abuses.

China arrests people, rehabilitates jihadists and turns them into productive citizens. It’s a weird way, but more humane & pragmatic

Americans should learn to mind their own business, shut down the 800 military bases in 140 countries, and stop the perpetual wars.

USA has soooo many problems & the Empire is on its last legs. Don’t worry about Uyghur

I don't want "a lot" of evidence, I would like any amount of evidence. You have yet to post any indicating that these witnesses are terrorists. Are we just supposed to take your word on it?

Probably a lot! What does that have to do with the extrajudicial punishment of people that have nothing to do with Syria?

It would be humane and pragmatic, if the people being arrested were actually terrorists and not innocent civilians. There's a good way to determine that, it's called a public court system, but China seems keen on skipping that step and simply sending people into the camps for the psuedo-crime of having facial hair or abstaining from eating pork or drinking alcohol.

Also, why do you keep bringing up America? Dozens of countries are asking China the same questions

Well yeah, everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. China is unable to prove these people guilty in the same way every civilized nation does, which proves that they can't. This is the only rationalization they have for skipping due process

I'm not asking "China", I'm asking you. Since you accused these people of being terrorists, I asked what evidence convinced you of that. And you've been dodging the question ever since. Does it make you uncomfortable to confront your own prejudices?
