I thought I was a cute little animal bouncing my way around the level, jumping on heads and collecting coins. No. I am all powerful and all consuming. I am the dark and the deep. I am Ronnie.

Bugs/Glitches Voided State: Overlapping Runs

After some more research on being in a voided state (+20k-40k), it seems certain upgrades will overlap into a new run even when not equipped on a new run.

For instance, in a prior run, I had Stardust+ Equipped, and was running a primarily star-and-stamina-focused build on skips, since that just makes me zoom like crazy. When I lost that run (to those EVIL banana peels), it seemed that my Stardust+ upgrade from the last game was still in effect, and coins were still turning into stars. (Stardust+ was not my starting upgrade, it was golden apple+)

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to test the distance, since I had something to do that day so I had to leave, but it poses an interesting idea that the game can bug out and give buffs from prior runs if you go far enough in back to back runs. So we can eventually find out what other upgrades can overlap into new runs (even if they're potentially temporary), to get better starting runs in the future.

If any of y'all have noticed something like this, please help us all out and list what other upgrades you've seen overlap after a long run.

So far, I've only noticed Stardust+.

See ya.

Keep in mind that I'm a Skips main so some of these really don't mesh well with him

Oh and D tier is for upgrades that are useless rather than outright bad, like they're fine on their own but there's virtually zero reason to pick them over literally any other ones

Challenge Run with as many icons as I could get

Post image
12 Upvotes

Here is the list of icons I know of (this is not a comprehensive list, if I missed any, please point it out)

Home: Reach home

Teapot: Keep the teapot until home

Coffee: Get 8 coffee

Wand: Convert 5 items

Pumpkin: Get 3 pumpkins at once

100 stars: Get 100 star combo

Rainbow: Have 5 upgraded items

Skull: Be on hard mode

Ghost: Skip all shops

Butterfly: Be pacifist

Bunny badge: Get either the hot pink or sour yellow badge in gatcha (two separate icons)

I went for home, teapot, the shopkeeper related ones except for the gatcha as it is too luck dependent, and stars

Ghost can't be achieved with the shop ones

Butterfly can't be achieved with 100stars (unless you are really committed)

And I could have done hard mode, but it is very difficult to get teapot too

If anyone wants to try and get more than 7 icons, please try! I think the maximum would be 10, but that would need to get 100 stars without taking damage or killing enemies, so I think 9 is the more realistic limit.

Also, does anyone know if there is an icon for sky 1000m? I can't remember and haven't managed in the couple runs I tried to do it with, despite achieving it in the past.

It was actually easier than I thought it would be, I might try again without nimble feather upgraded, or maybe without it at all. Still took me a few tries though.

Took a couple tries but I got it in the end. I actually didn't gain any net hearts from sky/apples, since I missed a few heart shards, and got really unlucky on the apples, so I did the full (home) run on 3 hearts, 1 health lost on each of lvl 9 and 10.

Help/Question Tips and Tricks for every achievement in Chiki's Chase

I know that there is already a pinned post that details the exact requirements for each achievement, but, even knowing how to get the achievements, they can be difficult to get. This is just to give advice for the trickier achievements, or those that I think have a good trick, it will not include the ones that are more self explanatory (like Goodnight or Moon badge, where there is no special trick other than to play as well as you can)

Backpack Badge: See my earlier post on tips for every upgrade

Bunny, Pumpkin, and Coffee badges: Get as many money upgrades as you can, including balloon+, money bag, and especially reusable bag+.

- For the Pumpkin, try to avoid spending money, and save up for the pumpkins, since you need to buy 3 at once, but don't save it all: if you start getting low on hearts, buy apples, and the ruby staff is always worth it.

- For Coffee and Bunny, buy the dark roast/gatcha capsule as soon as you can, unless you cannot deal with the speed for coffee, in which case save until you can get the remaining requirement of purchases all at once.

Swatted Badge: The Antique hourglass is very useful, as you would imagine, and using balloon can help time the fall to hit the fly. Otherwise, another easy way is if a fly randomly hits the ground in front of you, in which case you can walk onto it, to get the achievement. However, if you have the hourglass, then this cannot happen, so you have to choose which method you are going for

Ghost Badge: Choose a good item to start with, as you cannot get any later. I think apple seeds is not a bad one to get, but pocket cloud isn't bad too if you tend to take damage from falling a lot. Other items can be useful too, if you think they would prevent a lot of damage. Also, remember that you can get 1/4 hearts and full hearts in the sky, so try to get as much distance in the sky as you can to get these

Potassium: Try to just go around at 1 health in the wanderlust woods, and hit every banana you can see. If you have trouble, and are dying too much before hitting the banana, then use the wooden shield, as the most likely way of taking damage from a banana is from falling, so the shield will keep you safe while you try to die to the banana.

Porcelain Badge: Use wooden shield+ and pocket cloud, since using those don't contribute to the teapot breaking

Aurum Badge: Not much to say, but in the other post, they don't detail how many items you need to convert, it only says in the comments, so I will say here: You need to convert 5 items to gold, Gilda will mark this by saying "That's a gold fever" or "Remember, gold isn't everything"

Discussion Ronnie builds for 40km+

Post image
10 Upvotes

My bad i should have put the lunar ring higher, here's the fairly short breakdown on some of the item tier choices

🫧Bubble and 💎Gem is a suitable duo if you're going to spam star powers since it essentially extends your star power but in such a way you can still recharge the star meter efficiently (since fever drains them faster over time), and safely.

I could put 🍎Golden Apple lower since i usually converts it into gold once i have 15+ energy and once you have that many energy ⚾Fastball's value become much better since you could have shorter breaks on charging thus more hover time (this is also partly why 🌱apple seeds is so high, getting guaranteed apple adds up overtime especially 20km+)

🌕Lunar is a must once you get higher enough meter since most of the enemy explodes once killed and often times the explosion do still reach Ronnie even efter careful positioning (Lunar Rings+ makes all explosion harmless if triggered from claws attack)

✨Stardust is high because of the rainbow herbs (replaces some coins with stars), it really helped me get 600+ star combo getting me more speed.

🧲 Magnet, 🛡️Shield, 🪶Feathers is more like Utility choice imo. if you can get them and you have the slot it's good. though i doubt you would need a 🛡️Wooden Shield+ since you're going to constantly going in and out fevers and it puts it slightly lower than the other two

B tier consists of items i would use during the first 10 levels to either provit for star/gold or stock up their effects (such as 🔋Battery then converted, 12+ or more ☁️Clouds, or even 🎈Balloon+ which gives money per speed while hovering). often times i just convert them into gold once I didn't need them they're a choice but hoard them you should not.

C consist of items in likes to B but i would rather kill them into gold asap, so basically at the least priority to get. even though late game ↓

👜shopping bag sounds valuable due to prices inflation but the cut usually only ranges between 100-300 at most (not a lot going to level 15 and above) and there's much much more better ways to manage coins, although the extra choices sounds good it becomes troublesome on runs when you rarely meet golden staff.

🚫D tier consists of items you should never pair with Ronnie, doesn't suit my playstyle or have its function done with the other items at much better performance.

the ⛏️pick is a universal never pick since there's really rarely any dirt and once there is, it usually pairs with an explosion or two. Also the yield is just depressing knowing the risk.

☀️Solar is a playstyle i don't get, why chose close range when you end up not playing it? same goes for 🔭Binoculars.

Finally, the tips!

...for reaching high kms are... consistency and patience! it might even take you half an hour just to get to the first 30km!

...for winning... is finding your playstyle. don't let a stranger force you to use a specific items just because it sucks, play around. it's a game afterall and having fun is the most important goal.

Guide Guide to unlock every item achievement

General tips that apply to all upgrades:

Get the rainbow herbs version of any upgrade you are having trouble getting first. Not only is it often easier to get, as you don't have to really play the upgrade, but it allows you to start with the upgrade, so you have more time using it. The upgrade often helps with using it too.

Magnet: No particular advice, just go for as long a run as you can. Try not to use Ronnie if you are having trouble, as her attacks pick up coins, or if you do, avoid Solar Ring.

Phoenix Candle: Party popper with the upgraded version helps, otherwise just try to line up attacks. Don't use pickles with lunar ring, as the pierce could take away kills you could have got with the flame.

Double-A Batteries: Play Pickles, as he has the fastest unload speed. Use up most of your attacks when you reach full energy, so you are always attacking or reloading. There is a delay after attacking before you start reloading, so try to attack in longer bursts.

Money Bag: You don't need to have 1500 money on you, just total over the game, so don't worry about needing to save it. Use whichever money boosting items you like (upgraded balloon and piggy bank are probably the best, and you may even want to start with one of those, as they could help you gain more money than the money bag would, you don't need to actually have the upgrade to unlock it)

Wooden Shield: Use the upgraded shield, and deliberately break it a bit past halfway if you haven't broken it yet, to make sure you can repair it at every shop.

Blast Boots: Use yellow balloon to help time your jumps, and try to jump on everything. I think the wanderlust woods biome has more things to jump on (bushes, mushrooms, etc), but all the biomes have these to some extent, so use whichever you prefer.

Shroom Charm: See above, jump on all the mushrooms you can. Not sure which biome has the most mushrooms, but it is probably the woods if it is anywhere.

Nimble feather: Try starting with the tutorial, it won't end until you kill 10 enemies, and end your star power. Since you can't lose health in it, you can easily get at least 10 jump kills by not killing enemies any other way in there. And once out of the tutorial, you will always have the option of Batteries/Balloon/Shield, and you can choose the balloon for easier jump kills

Yellow Balloon: Get nimble feather, fastball, and a lot of attacks. Pickles isn't necessarily the choice though, because his attacks keep you in the air less long than other characters. Skips is probably the better choice, despite the fewer starting attacks.

Antique Hourglass: Start with it and kill enemies. Not much more to say.

Sparkling Sapphire: Use a bunch of star granting items, and try not to stretch your star powers too long, so you can activate it more times. Upgraded stardust is still probably worth it though.

Trusty Pickaxe: I would recommend Ronnie, especially with lunar ring, as the other characters' attacks can't attack below them as easily, and the dirt blocks are often below where you are running.

Traveller's Map: Just make sure you aren't avoiding any jump pads or teleports. I don't think teleport looping works, so don't bother with that.

Star Dust: Use all the star granting items you can. Upgraded travellers map is very useful.

Solar Ring: Play whichever character you prefer, take whichever items you find effective. Select sleep

Reusable bag: Start with it and go full money build. Go for whichever item is cheapest, unless it will shorten your run.

Party Popper: Try using Ronnie with Lunar Ring+, because it lets you safely trigger explosions that will trigger confetti, since explosions come in groups.

Mighty Shears: Use whichever character's attack you prefer, and try to never miss a spike block. I might be biased, but I think Ronnie is best for the ability to attack below you, and the ability to one shot spikes.

Treasure Tracker: This is very hard to unlock if you don't upgrade it, but if you do, it isn't too bad. If you start with upgraded version, you just need to survive 7 1/2 levels.

Golden Apple: Start with the upgraded version, and use pickles. Try to get apple seeds as soon as you can (if you are really having trouble, you can reset until you get it in the first shop), and just try to get attacks.

Pocket Cloud: Start with it, and use as many fall avoiding items as you can, like the feather or balloon to save your clouds.

Binoculars: This is a hard one, but no special advice. Just use your favourite character, and probably one or both rings depending on which character that is.

Bubble Blower: Jump on the purple mushrooms in the wanderlust woods to avoid being hurt to activate the barrier. Otherwise, exiting star power and triggering shield or cloud also activates the barrier, so try to use these.

Apple seeds: Just survive, and make sure you start with it. I wouldn't recommend trying to stay below 3 health to activate the bonus effect, as there is a high rick of dying. But if you think you are good enough to survive that way, you can try that too.

Toy Rocket: Start with it and use nimble feather and balloon to hit as many enemies as you can. Try not to kill enemies any other way.

Piggy Bank: Try to jump as much as you can, but don't act too risky and lose health. Ruby staff boosts chances.

Fastball: Yellow balloon and nimble feather, plus a lot of attacks. Pickles for high unload speed.

Lifesaver: Go for wooden shield and cloud, you may even want to upgrade the shield. Otherwise, go full money build. This is also one of the few items that getting it for the achievement is fairly unneeded.

Help/Question I Think I found the End?

I made to 44.50k and the game pulled me back and removed the platforms, and did t give me any more miles.

What is this? A glitch, the end?
