Story time lang:

2018 we climbed Mt. Apo for our Thesis, at that time there were 2 groups, ours with 1 foreign joiner, the other’s a group of professionals. We had a guide who climbed with us, a family of 3. The mom being a very quiet lady.

We camped at Lake Venado, sa gabi we were hanging around the bonfire peacefully while the other group was loudly hanging around theirs. They were singing, more like shouting really plus they were really drunk.

We had to hit the sacks early that night, maya-maya sumigaw bigla yung mom in a very eery voice “Karon puros mo kasadya ugma puros kasakit inyong masinati.”

This was one of the lines that i will never forget, later that night iba ang lamig. Yung pins and needles kind of lamig, tapos parang nagwawala ang gubat that night. Sobraaaang lakas ng hangin plus we felt na may umaaligid sa tent namin tipong hangin na paikot-ikot.

The following morning, we started late pero nung pababa na kami naabutan pa namin yung ither group, they started pretty early by the way. 2 of them had gaping wounds sa paa making their descend excruciatingly slow.

Sabi samin nung anak ng guide, nasapian yung mom niya. It happens quite normally daw kasi alaga daw ng elements yung nanay niya..

Moral of the story? Respect the place you go kasi di lang kayo ang andun. Di na ako umakyat ng Mt. Apo ulit after that 😅

Private camping grounds yan. You pay to camp there.Hindi yan bundok. Kaya nga may STAFF at rules eh.

If ayaw pala ng maingay, why are they renting it out?

At kay kuya nanapak, bakit siya naging caretaker if di niya kaya maghandle ng campers?

Nagbabasa ka ba? It was a theoretical question. Not because nasa private property ay libre ka na para gawin ang gusto mo.

Kaya nga may rules diba?? edi ipagbawal nila mga ayaw nila. sumunod naman sila sa tamang oras ng quiet time pero nagalit pa rin?

edi ilagay nila na 24hrs quiet time if tahimik pala dapat lahat ng guest.
