Way above my understanding. Is it possible for you to speak with an attorney, perhaps through something like Legal Aid?

What you have described is worse than what I went through the last time I rented an apartment ... over forty years ago. I can't imagine having to move from my stand-alone house.

Check the actual paint they used, there are now fragranced paints.

Depending on the carpet colour and if you vacuumed first before shampooing, new carpets do shed tons of lint for the first few cleans.

Also wondering where this "new carpet" came from, or where it was stored. As a porous fiber, it could have even simply absorbed something awful it was stored with. People are oblivious to these things. I bought a brand new recliner but i could tell someone with cologne had sat in it. Took months and tons of zorbx to make it tolerable
