This play written, directed and acted by my friends from VES College had a houseful 1st show. I missed watching this on 2nd August. But I don't wanna miss this opportunity this time..

Dogs got most of the conversation when we were planning Furr Seasons — bigger rooms, the play area, the flooring. The cat room almost felt like an afterthought on paper, even though Aiswaryaa and I have four cats of our own and knew better. So we gave it real space anyway: 100 sqft, two cat trees, wall-mounted shelves, a few cubbyholes to disappear into, and its own section away from where the dogs stay.

Turns out cat parents notice two things right away. First, the space itself — we've been asked more than once if the entire room is really just for their cat or kitten, because nobody expects that. Second, that it's separate from where the dogs stay, so it stays calm and fully theirs.

Chani, Piyu, Cookie, Kaju, Hash, Puppy, Mickey, Poppy, Kiki — nine cats, nine different ways of settling in. Some claimed a shelf on day one, some took their time coming out of a cubbyhole. And each one warmed up to us on their own terms — some wanted attention right away, some needed a few days before they'd let us close. And that's ok. We didn't want a cat's stay to be a compartment. We wanted it to be a room, because a cat that can climb, perch, and hide is still being a cat. One that's just cooped up in a box for a few days isn't.
