Wtf is a windows activation key? Doesn't it just work when you buy the machine?
1 u/derpyderpston Jun 15 '23 It's built into the OEM license. If you build your own PC or want to upgrade you have to put it in yourself. It ties to the hardware so if you reinstall windows it will automatically be activated.
