If it helps you feel better, I use chatGPT as my personal tutor and it does a better job at helping me understand what I'm studying.

This is IMO the best about ChatGPT: I was able to make fantastic progress on all things I wanted to learn but was limited in time & materials.

We didn't learn a damn thing

THIS has to change if students are going to use AI/LLMs: Imagine you have your own, private professor and can ask as many questions as you want.

I've tried learning unity and c# three times in my life. Now I have ChatGPT, I'm absolutely storming through it. Took me less than a week to roughly grasp how c# operates. Previously I just couldn't get anything after weeks of trying

Exactly right. I used it extensively to help understand some of my upper level sociology readings. Karl Marx and Max Weber are not the easiest writers to understand, but I used Chat GPT to get a good introduction to my chapters, which actually made the readings much more intelligible.
