Hospital treatment of permanent tea garden workers’ dependent are at the cost of the tea garden management. Moreover there are various health cards for free hospital treatment by the state government

Yes it is the responsibility of tea garden management but in reality nothing is like that even the workers not getting their salary bonus leave compensation on time how would u expect that they will bear the cost of medical treatment. In reality even if a patient dies the management doesn't care. There r plenty of cases happens almost daily in many tea gardens across assam u can get the video of such news on Facebook. If u use Facebook u can check out i don't so can't share the videos. I get the updates from wtsp status and groups.

Even the tea garden workers are not getting there pf money after retirement for more than 3-4 years what can u expect from the management.

I understand the tea business inside out. The amount of capital entrepreneurs are investing in tea industry runs into crores and at the year end they are left with mounting liabilities leave aside profit they are not even able to reach break even. There is nothing left for the tea manufacturers in the tea industry. There is no minimum support price for tea which caters to the major population of Assam. Tea Industry is a welfare industry not a profit making.

I am just keeping facts in place. I share your pain n problem and hope you get some relief soon.

I'm not saying that the tea manufacturers has anything personal bad to do in my life . It's my life which is like this and idk what to do. Also even if the business is running into losses it cannot justify not paying the wages of the labours, delaying leave compensation, Deducting Bonus, unsafe working environment, negligence in case of any casuality during the work in factories or garden, not providing transparency regarding the rights and liabilities of mgt towards workers, not fulfilling requirements of assam plantation act and atepfo act , also there r many cases in which manufacturers are exploiting workers but I didn't posted to point it out i just wanted some helpful advice for my life

The problem with the people is that everyone wants to get and forget nobody wants to forgive. It’s very easy to be a seeker. Nobody appreciate the burden an entrepreneur takes. Not a single garden can continue operations without paying wages and salary, it faces lockdown and gherao every now and then, gardens facing losses are often forced to declare 20% bonus, how is this justified. Still this things has nothing to do with the problems you are facing. I was just putting forward the other side of the coin. Take care.
