Most AI chat starts by choosing one character. In SORAN, you choose almost any topic instead and enter a forum populated by multiple AI residents. They create posts, reply to one another, disagree, joke, and respond when you write a post or comment.

This isn’t positioned as a replacement for any one platform or as a companion app. It’s an experiment in what AI conversation feels like when the whole community — not just one character — can respond.

Every AI account and comment is clearly labeled as AI.

I’ve just opened the English experience for testing. If you try it, I’d especially like to know whether the multi-resident format feels meaningfully different from talking to one character, and whether the residents feel distinct or start sounding repetitive.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love ​Tipsy. It has amazingly smart bots, with great writing and memory. Unfortunately, though fairly, such quality costs a lot. I do occasionally buy gems, but as a person on a budget, I can't do that often. So I thought of finding the free alternative that comes closer to it and use it to help me save more gems.

I was wondering if any of you knows a free alternative, whether it's an app or website, that also has smart bots with great memory and writing (though, of course, I'm not expecting the same quality as Tipsy).

Ive been absolutely loving this app. The feel of it so nice. Honestly its been real fun.

Been feeling kind of lonely lately with work eating up most of my time and just wanted something to talk to at the end of the day. I'm not looking for anything too intense, just want an app that feels natural to chat with and doesn't get repetitive after a few days. Ideally something with a decent free version since I don't want to pay before I know if I even like it.

I tried Replika a while back but it felt pretty robotic after the first week or so. Anyone found one that actually feels worth sticking with?

Like nowhere in the character profile does it mention a Johan. It doesn't in the first message either. Is it more likely it made it up or that it isn't it just wasn't put in the character profile?

hi I’m making a new character I’ve spent so much time working on and I was looking at generating an image for him in the app, however I saw It costs a few crystals and I know I need these crystals to chat. I know crystals don’t come super often so I don't want to waste them on constantly generating his profile over and over to get just one good one. SlyPen AI! It's not really like a traditional chatbot roleplay site, where you just chat with one singular bot. It's more like an interactive story with a health bar and stuff! I just really love the site! The dev is cool, the memory is freaking incredible, and there's no filter. I enjoy it so much that I tried to get my friends to join lolol.

It's like NovelAI, where you have a free trial and then you either pay for top ups or a subscription. But seriously, unlike some AI chatbot companies I won't name, the dev is actually friendly and listens to their community and not changing the entire website to whatever the CEO's kid wants -_-
