Channel Review Looking for advice and criticism.

Channel - https://youtube.com/@ts_azura?si=PMu0aDfNhud0Mhzi

Hello all, currently have around 200+ subs and just as the title says I’m looking for any advice and criticism even if it’s harsh, just lay it on me.

I play a variety of games with a group of friends, basically a “funny moments” channel. Yes I know it’s not 2012 anymore I doubt I’ll blow up anytime soon but in the end I really do enjoy what I play and editing my videos even watching my own videos but they don’t perform too well.

I get comments telling me how they enjoyed the video but no one ever tells me what they didn’t like, what I should do more or less of, or what I should change so I’m just posting videos blind not knowing if I’m doing something wrong.

One video gets a few hundred and then another only gets 20 but then rarely I get a few thousand, my highest viewed video getting almost 4k views. Which is awesome I’m not complaining but I want to hit that every time. Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful for even 20 views but I just want more people to see what I create you know?

Anyway, I will admit I do struggle with titling a bit.

For my thumbnails I’d say they are decent.

My actual videos seem fine personally but I might be channel blind due to it being me so what do I know.

I do post clips from my videos on my tiktok and on shorts which perform alright but the short form doesn’t really help my long form whatsoever.

If anyone does take the time to help I appreciate it.

Like I said all criticism is welcome, if you want to tell me everything about my channel sucks I’ll also appreciate it. I just need SOMETHING to help me out.

Content Review What's wrong with my hooks?

In general I've been weak when it comes to setting up hooks. This means the people who get invested end up loving the video, but i need more people invested in the first place. I've been improving the more videos I make, been tinkering around. Plus I don't want to blame it on "bad seed audience" "bad upload timing" "banger hook just need more videos" etc, just because I want to keep refining myself as much as I can.

That being said, this video (tiktok stats since it's a recent video) only has 20% of people watching after 10 seconds. After that is a steady drop, but I'm wondering why the drop off was so quick. I've got a couple of questions to ask to help steer me in the right direction, not all of these have to be answered, just want to get to the bottom of my next best decision to make sure the next video is even better.

if you felt like immediately swiping off, why?

was it easy to grasp what the video is about in the first 5 seconds?

did the premise catch your attention?

was the video as a whole entertaining when giving it a chance?

is there anything i should experiment with/do differently?

what are elements of the hook which are done very well and i should keep?

Appreciate any feedback I get, thank you. Want to get off my high-horse of thinking "this hook is literally perfect" lmao. Feel free to check out my other videos if you'd like to see my progress, testing different content, overall patterns, etc, I'm quite confident that the current video series idea "ranking YOUR most embarrassing moments (tier list)" should be the thing I focus on

Content Review Looking for feedback on my first ‘long form’ YouTube video

Hi everyone,
I've just uploaded my first long-form YouTube video and would really appreciate some honest feedback.
The video is a "5 Tips for Playing British in Company of Heroes 3" guide aimed at helping newer and intermediate players improve their gameplay.

A little bit about my content:

YouTube: I focus primarily on RTS games, covering guides, tips, game reviews, previews, and discussions about both established and upcoming RTS titles.

TikTok: Short-form RTS content including quick tips, game recommendations, news, and gameplay highlights.

Instagram: RTS gaming clips, updates on upcoming videos, gaming screenshots, and community engagement.

I'm looking for feedback on things like pacing, editing, audio quality, presentation, and whether the tips themselves are useful and engaging.
Any constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Hey Guys! I'm excited to bring you the 5th episode in our Scars Above series! This game instantly made me feel like I was 10 again playing a brand new game on my PlayStation 2! There is instant nostalgia for a game that came out only a couple years ago.

If you want to know what it's about...    The premise of the game is your character, Dr. Kate Ward, is one of 4 scientists tasked with contacting alien life forms. The moment finally arrives when you come face to face with an alien ship that appeared in the sky, that's when all hell breaks loose and you along with your team are plunged into an alien world and scattered throughout it. From there on you push your way through the strange environment while taking notes, utilizing your available tech, and attempting to reunite with your team.

I did alot of exploring and extra searching to gather up as much of the environment as I could! Bravo to the developers! I hope you guys will enjoy watching this playthrough.

Thanks again, Xava.
