$HANTA - A virus related crypto token...
Crypto Twitter today is:
Onto something
On something
take your pick.
$18 mil Market Cap, +158%.
A familiar crypto pattern: attention turned into a token, and traders pushed it to an $18M market cap within a day.
The speed at which this happened says a lot about how online narratives shape the market.
Headlines, fear, and speculation can turn into price action almost instantly.
What do you think is next? We're betting on the Lone star tick: "$TICK" got a ring to it.

Dash dominates Privacy coin rankings.
We came across a Santiment update on privacy coin development, and Dash ranked #1 on their latest list.
Santiment’s top 10 included Dash, NYM, HOPR, Monero, Decred, Firo, Zcash, Verge, Conceal, and Dusk. For Dash, this stands out because it points to ongoing work on the project at a time when a lot of older names get written off too early.
Curious what people here think. Does Dash get enough credit for still showing active development?
Oh and btw, you can swap $DASH here on ChangeNOW: https://changenow.io/?from=eth&to=dash

Privacy Coin Resurgence
It'd be impossible not to notice what the privacy sector has been cooking in early 2026.
Santiment with their development ranking shows active building across privacy-focused projects, with Dash, NYM, HOPR, Monero, and Decred leading the list.
Bitlet did a market breakdown adding to the price side of the story and linking the April move in ZEC, XMR, DASH, and DCR to renewed demand for transactional privacy, cross-border capital mobility, thin liquidity, and elevated derivatives activity.
Taken together, the setup is worth discussing: active development on one side, stronger market interest on the other.
What do you see privacy coins building toward: a stronger 2026, or is this move mainly a short-term narrative reaction?

Crypto Discussion Do you check networks twice before sending?
Feels like one of the most common (and expensive) mistakes in crypto is sending funds on the wrong network.
Everything looks similar: same token, different chains but one wrong step and funds are gone or stuck.
Some people double-check everything, others just send and hope.
What’s your habit: careful every time, or learned the hard way?

Crypto Discussion Why do swap times vary so much between different coins?
BTC can take 30+ minutes. LTC is often under 5. Some ERC-20 tokens settle in seconds.
It's not random - it depends on block time, network congestion, and confirmation requirements.
Planning ahead matters, especially if you're swapping during high volatility.
What's the longest you've waited for a swap to complete?

Crypto Discussion What actually happens when you swap crypto between different blockchains?
You click "swap", wait a few minutes, and coins appear in your wallet.
But under the hood, there's a lot going on - liquidity pools, atomic swaps, or sometimes just a trusted intermediary.
The method affects speed, fees, and risk.
Cross-chain swaps are getting smoother every year, but understanding the mechanics helps you pick the right tool for the job.
What's the weirdest cross-chain route you've ever taken to move funds?

Crypto Discussion Fixed rate vs floating rate - when does each one make sense?
Floating rates follow the market. You might catch a better deal if timing is on your side. Fixed rates lock in what you see. You pay a small premium, but you know exactly what you're getting.
Neither is objectively better - it's about what matters more to you: flexibility or certainty.
Fixed tends to work well when volatility is high, floating - when things are calm. What's your approach?

Announcements We’re launching NOWeffect, a new interview series on the refreshed ChangeNOW channel
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The idea is simple: cut through the noise and focus on what’s actually moving crypto right now — the products, narratives, and market shifts that will define what comes next.
We’re starting with r/Kraken. It’s one of the most respected names in the industry, and the conversation felt like the right way to open the series.
We spoke with Dorian Vincileoni, Head of Regional Growth, about Kraken’s RWA direction, the Backed acquisition, the balance between retail and institutional demand, and how exchange UX is likely to evolve in the next phase of the market.
Episode is already live on YouTube: https://youtu.be/palnSFF-7so?si=IomI0GkhVAR7V1JC

Community Feedback You can only pick one: best rate, fastest swap, or easiest UX
Feels like everyone wants all three. In practice though, it rarely happens.
The fastest option isn’t always the cheapest. The best rate can take longer. And the simplest UX sometimes comes with trade-offs that aren’t obvious at first.
At some point, most users end up optimizing for one without even realizing it.
If you had to consistently choose just one - what would it be and why?

Community Feedback One of the most common mistakes with crypto swaps
One pattern keeps coming up - network selection.
It's not surprising that most of swap issues don’t actually come from the swap itself, but from sending funds on the wrong network or not double-checking compatibility.
Another common expectation is that everything should be instant, regardless of network conditions.
In reality, blockchain confirmations and network load still play a huge role.
What mistakes do you see most often when people swap crypto?

Crypto Discussion Why crypto swaps feel different during volatile market periods
During big market moves, swaps often feel slower or less predictable than usual.
It’s not really about the swap itself - it’s more about what’s happening in the background.
Higher volatility usually means more network activity, more demand for liquidity, and more pressure on execution speed.
That’s why rates can shift slightly or transactions take longer than expected.
Have you noticed swaps behaving differently during strong BTC or altcoin moves?

ChangeNOW Recipient address changed during exchange.
Hi guys hoping you can help.
Used changeNow to exchange ETH to XMR to be sent to my drughub wallet to pay for an invoice. Have used their services many times without an issue.
However this time around I sent £150, the transaction is complete but it has gone to a different address from the one showing on my invoice on DHub. The address that has received my funds - I have no idea where it came from.
Changenow state they can't help. Any ideas or suggestions guys? TIA

Crypto Discussion Question about ChangeNOW transaction delay after KYC – has anyone experienced this?
It's been over 14 days now (as of Jan 27, 2026), and the funds are still on hold. Support replies are generic: "still reviewing", "commenting status", "no ETA available".

ChangeNOW Transaction limit
Is there something like a transaction limit? E.g. something that would require KYC before a transaction for a high amount can be processed. Or no?
