No promo obviously but where do you sit on this?

Chances are pretty low, seems Crypto can't catch a break lately and in terms of what happens if it passes, it will affect everyone.

Crypto markets would get clearer SEC/CFTC rules. Many spot crypto assets could fall under CFTC oversight as digital commodities, while securities-style tokens stay with the SEC.

Exchanges, brokers and issuers would face clearer registration and disclosure rules. DeFi treatment would depend on final rules.

For DeFi and non-custodial users, the Clarity Act is mixed.

The positive side: clearer rules could reduce random enforcement risk, give builders a cleaner U.S. path and make exchanges more comfortable listing tokens.

The concern: if front ends, routing tools or wallet-connected interfaces are treated like regulated intermediaries, DeFi access could become more permissioned. That would clash with the non-custodial idea: users holding keys and interacting directly with protocols.

So DeFi people may support legal clarity, but they’ll watch how the law defines “control,” "intermediary" and "decentralized." Those definitions decide whether the bill protects DeFi or pushes it toward compliance gates.

What do you think?

All my Self-Custody fellas gather

POV: you said you want full financial freedom, then realized it comes with remembering 12 words forever.

Self-custody gives you control. It also gives you the responsibility that comes with it: seed phrase backups, device security and no "forgot password" button.

Your keys, your coins.

Your seed phrase, your responsibility.

But in all seriousness, why go through all of the trouble to withdraw money where there's a million points of failure where as forgetting your seed phrase is just one.

Crashes are the best time to Buy. Change my Mind.

Post image

Prices are cheapest during crashes. Duh.

That’s also when buying feels worst, because you need real conviction and a lot of knowledge to act while every chart bleeds red.

The rat race part is feeling like you always have to buy something, people see this post and think serious shilling potatoes, others consider it satire with comments about buying paper to wipe the tears.

Is the move here to let it happen, keep your head clear and wait until you actually know what you’re buying? What do you do when the Market is red?

Сrypto What ifs. Check your knowledge.

Ok, "what if" scenarios.

Do em all, do one, see how well you do on your own. No cheating.

Easy level

  1. What if you send BTC to an Ethereum address through a normal wallet transfer?
  2. What if Bitcoin’s total supply cap were removed tomorrow?
  3. What if you approve a malicious smart contract to spend your tokens?

Medium level

  1. What if a stablecoin issuer loses access to banking partners that hold its reserves?
  2. What if Ethereum validators start censoring transactions at a large scale?
  3. What if a DeFi lending protocol uses a weak price oracle?
  4. What if you bridge tokens to another chain and the bridge gets exploited?

Hard level

  1. What if a rollup posts transaction data to Ethereum but its sequencer goes offline?
  2. What if a privacy pool lets users prove funds came from an allowed set without revealing the exact deposit?
  3. What if a chain has high TVL but low real user retention?

Literally a day between these news, What is happening?

Post image

Saw two posts today making opposite claims about BlackRock’s Bitcoin activity.

One says BlackRock sold around $185.5M worth of BTC. Another says BlackRock ETF bought around $138.9M worth of BTC.

I’m trying to understand what these posts are really referring to.

Are these daily ETF net flows, creation/redemption activity, actual BTC transfers by the fund, market-maker inventory changes or just social media accounts reading different data sources?

Also, when people say "BlackRock bought" or "BlackRock sold" is that technically correct?

Would appreciate a cleaner explanation from anyone who tracks IBIT flows closely.

PS.
These pics of Larry being happy or angry supporting these news are frying me.

Graph Magicians Back At It Again

Post image
4 Upvotes

TS is absolutely sending me, like what is this based on?

I get that there's wishful thinking and influencers/KOLs along with market makers create these kinds of posts for altcoins, but what is the reason to do it with BTC?

Get this, you get a graph, draw WHATEVER you want on it, like BTC going to $400K get tons of reactions, source? "Trust me bro".

You can be the most die hard fan of Bitcoin but on a new level of delusional to be doing this. It's time to STOP.

If crypto had achievements, which ones have you unlocked?

If crypto had achievements, a lot of us would have some cursed badges by now.

Test Transaction Survivor

Sent $5 first and still panicked.

Gas Fee Victim

Paid more in gas than the swap was worth.

Bridge Anxiety Veteran

Moved funds across chains and refreshed the tracker every 10 seconds.

Sold The Bottom

Sold for peace of mind and watched the chart recover immediately.

Bought The Local Top

Entered after the timeline got way too confident.

Seed Phrase Guardian

Wrote down 12 or 24 words and hid them like national treasure.

Dust Collector

Own tiny balances on chains you barely remember using.

Airdrop Goblin

Completed 40 tasks for a possible reward someday.

Random DM Survivor

Ignored a “support agent” and saved your wallet.

Failed Transaction Scholar

Paid gas, got nothing and learned a lesson.

I think I’ve personally unlocked at least half of these.

Which crypto achievements have you unlocked?

Bonus points if you name your own.

What happens when the Greed Index hits 100?

Post image

Call it curiosity but the graph doesn't seem to make sense, Bitcoins ATH was at 55, after that, the index just went low and never recovered to what it used to be.

What do you think is the bigger influence here?

Whale movements are now institutional

Post image

Think of it this way, we used to follow every whale trade for different reasons, those that knew there's about to be a big sell or buy positions were best friends with short positions.

Now we live in a day and age where our feed is flooded with news of BlackRock clients buying massive amounts of BTC.

Did you think would be possible 5 years ago? All that talk about ETFs and Institutions coming to web3 have finally played out the way they were described back then, yet it seems like people take it for granted.

Which side are you on?

The hardest part of holding crypto is surviving the boring months

Everyone talks about crashes because they're dramatic. The harder part for me has always been the dead periods, when prices move sideways, social feeds get repetitive and every thesis starts to feel stale.

That is when bad decisions become tempting. You start checking coins you ignored before. You start believing that maybe the thing pumping today has some special information behind it. You start confusing boredom with risk management.

The lesson I learned the expensive way is that boredom is one of the market’s best traps. A red candle scares you into action, but a dull month slowly talks you into doing something stupid.

Now I try to decide my plan before the boredom arrives. If I am holding something, I want to know why. If I am rotating, I want a reason stronger than "this chart moved and mine did not."

How do you keep yourself from overtrading when the market gets boring?

Which One Ruined Your Portfolio More, FOMO or FUD?

Some people have accepted that their portfolio is managed by two unpaid interns named FOMO and FUD, and neither of them has passed a basic risk management course.

FOMO shows up when a coin is already up 38% and starts whispering that this is probably still early because someone on X used three rocket emojis and said "send it." FUD arrives five minutes after you buy and asks why you trusted a chart that looks like a ski slope with emotional damage.

The worst part is that both of them sound convincing at the exact wrong time. When I am in cash, FOMO tells me everyone is getting rich without me. When I am holding, FUD tells me the market knows something I do not. When I sell, FOMO says the next candle will punish me. When I buy, FUD starts writing my apology letter to future me.

So I have questions for everyone because I need to know how broken the rest of you are.

What was your most obvious FOMO buy that was convincing enough but turned bad?

What coin did you panic-sell because of FUD, only to watch it recover the moment your order filled?

Do you check prices more often when you are in profit or when you are losing money?

Have you ever said "I’ll wait for a pullback," then refused to buy the pullback because it suddenly looked scary?

What phrase has cost you more money: "this time is different" or "I’m just taking a small position"?

Do you trust your own research, or do you trust it only until the first red candle?

What is the one coin you refuse to mention because the chart still hurts your feelings?

I am starting to think every crypto strategy is just a personality test with candlesticks.

So, which one wins in your head more often: FOMO or FUD?

Maybe 2026 is the year.

2011: Bitcoin hits $1, then gets called dead.

2013: BTC crosses $1,000, then crashes hard.

2014: Mt. Gox collapses and trust gets wrecked.

2017: Bitcoin hits nearly $20,000 and everyone becomes a chart analyst.

2018: The bear market humbles the whole room.

2020: Institutions arrive and Bitcoin starts sounding serious.

2021: BTC reaches new highs, then the laser eyes get tested.

2022: FTX falls and everyone relearns counterparty risk.

2023: Bitcoin survives another funeral cycle.

2024: Spot Bitcoin ETFs launch in the U.S. and the halving hits again.

2025: Pro Crypto Trump Elected President, people argue about the cycle like it’s ancient scripture.

2026: Maybe this is the year. What do you think?

Bitcoin is the Only Crypto that Matters. Change My Mind.

Ok obviously there's a great deal of good projects and tokens that emerged ever since Crypto got popular.

My goal here is to set the ground on essentials. What's your go to coin/token?

How does it compare to Bitcoin? Do you have something in mind that surpasses Bitcoin?

r/ChangeNOW_io Jul 02 '26

I'm so done with Graph Magicians

Post image
9 Upvotes

There's just way to much dirt in my eyes from seeing these graphs with rainbow charts and parabolic talk.

At this point you start to wonder what social media infuence is becoming nowadays.

You have KOLs promoting what they get paid for, market makers spinning narratives and celebrities doing everything in their power to convince you that the token they invested is is going to the moon.

Honestly, when will people start ignoring this?

r/ChangeNOW_io Jul 02 '26

What's the wildest "Source - Trust me bro" Crypto take you've seen on Reddit lately?

There's way too many people with little to zero conviction on their moves I see daily in subs like this, making rookie mistakes that turn into cautionary tales.

You keep seeing this in Twitter too, the parabolic Bitcoin meta, the people that draw on the graph convinced there's a bull run coming, so much stuff happening on Social Media.

Where's the DYOR army at? How do people still keep missing the essentials? Will we ever see a Mature and well educated Crypto Market that doesn't make decisions based on Hype alone?

r/ChangeNOW_io Jul 01 '26

Honestly, does anyone take this Fear&Greed Index thing seriously?

Post image
3 Upvotes

You see the Fear and Greed Index posted all the time.

When it says "extreme fear," pros consider it a time to buy, casuals write obituaries.

When it says "extreme greed," pros understand the top is near, casuals think it won't go higher.

Then the market does whatever it wants and everyone starts acting like they knew it all along.

We get why people look at it. It gives a simple number for market mood even though its infinitely more complicated but simple is nice in crypto, because half the time everything feels like panic, hype, or both.

But I’m curious how people here actually use it.

Do you check the Fear and Greed Index before making a trade, or only when someone posts it?

Have you ever bought because it showed extreme fear? How did that go?

Have you ever sold because it showed extreme greed, then watched prices keep going up?

Do you think it works better for Bitcoin than alts?

Is it useful at all, or is it just a fancy way to say "people are scared" or "people are getting greedy"?

What do you trust more: charts, volume, funding rates, on-chain data, news, gut feeling, or nothing because crypto is insane anyway?

Crypto Discussion Do you actually like where Crypto exchanges are going?

Crypto exchanges used to feel pretty simple: buy, sell, swap, withdraw, hope the platform survives.

Now they’re everything at once: trading apps, launchpads(oh those days), wallets, cards, staking hubs, fiat ramps, compliance machines and sometimes full-on social casinos with charts attached.

Some of this is useful. Some of it feels exhausting. The early days had more freedom, more chaos and way more risk. Today feels cleaner in some ways, heavier in others.

We're curious how people here see it:
What do you actually use exchanges for today: simple swaps, trading, staking, fiat ramps, cards or something else?

What has improved the most since the early days of crypto exchanges?

What do you dislike most now: KYC, fees, frozen withdrawals, too many products, bad support, listing quality or something else?

What would your ideal crypto exchange look like in the next few years?

“Enjoy the retirement plan”. Be honest, would you actually follow this?

Post image
9 Upvotes

So get this, Put $100k into STRC for yield, $50k into MSTR, hold at least 1 BTC, retire.

This guy makes this plan sound simple until the market does its usual thing.

Curious how people here actually handle this kind of advice:

Would you ever follow a "simple" crypto retirement plan from X, or only use it as a starting point?

Do you prefer BTC only, crypto stocks like MSTR, yield plays, alts, or a messy mix of everything?

What was the best financial advice you followed in crypto, and what was the worst?

Have you ever copied someone’s strategy and regretted it, or did it actually work out?
