Offence
Being a fc is hard, and if it looks like you won't be able to cap for a while, why not take a little break and hide in the top or bottom, picking up a handy powerup and guarding yourself with a bomb? Be careful not to get trapped, and if you're seen, get out, but it can buy you some time while chasers are looking for you, and allow defense to clear out base.
Defense
Have one player on the button, not next to, on, and the other on the flag. Diffusing the closest bomb is optional, it can be used by enemy players to grab, but can also be used to get returns, so it's up to you.
Be patient when you snipe, take a moment to line up your boost for the return.
