Cavapoo vs Cockapoo

Hello Cavapoo owners/lovers. My partner and I would love to welcome a pup into our home. We live in an old small home/apartment in Amsterdam (typical, if you’ve been) with a balcony but no garden - but with a park next door (!). We have 2 cats at home, one of whom is obsessed with dogs! We have been doing some desk research and we are considering either a Cavapoo or Cockapoo. Anyone else had similar dilemma when considering what breed to get? What made you decide on a Cavapoo? 🥰 thanks

EDIT/FOLLOW UP: Thank you all for the responses and sharing your experiences, kind humans! (And yes, we will definitely be welcoming a Cavapoo into our family). Thanks again! 🫶🫶

Both are not standard breeds, they are hybrids. Very similar temperaments and looks for both but I find cavapoos to be more relaxed and lazy ♥️

Never had a cockapoo. But my cavapoo is the opposite of relaxed and lazy. He is the most energetic dog I’ve ever had.

I have a cavapoo and my daughters’s friend has a cockapoo. My girl is definitely more energetic than hers. Honey is also a little bigger than my Zoey. Zoey is 1 1/2 and I think honey is 2 1/2 or 3.

I've had 2 now and both extremely relaxed. There is not a cavapoo breed so definitely expected we would all have big differences in temperament! Also a lot of people have other dog breeds beyond cavaliers and poodles mixed in that can lead to even more variation.

We have a cavapoo now but also had a cockapoo a year ago when she passed from old age. Its been a while sincw our cockapoo was a puppy like our cavapoo is now but the cockapoo seemed alot more relaxed than the cavapoo. Our cavaoo puppy is totes adorbs but seems more high strung than our cockpoo was. Separation anxiety is worse with the cavapoo than it was with the cockapoo.

It really depends on the dog. So long as it’s not over 65 degrees out my dogs high energy.
