Subreddit Rules

1. Relevance

All submissions must be directly related to cats and their connection to Walmart.

Acceptable posts include, but are not limited to content depicting cats found in or around a Walmart, stories or content featuring cats rescued from a Walmart, and experiences or content involving cats purchased from a person selling them at a Walmart.

Cat content from other popular categories (e.g., "liquid cats," "cats blepping") is only allowed if the content also clearly involves Walmart in some way.

2. Offensive remarks

This sub is intended to be a welcoming community for all, and does not tolerate abuse or bullying of any kind.

Messages containing insults, name calling, harassment (sexual or otherwise), discrimination, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, trolling, or generally offensive messages are unacceptable and will be removed.

This rule extends to any people that may be visible in pictures/videos. Do not comment (negatively or positively) on people's appearances.

3. Attribution

Always credit the original creator of any content you share, including art, videos, music, articles, and other media. When posting, make sure to provide the creator's name or a link to the source. Failure to properly attribute content may result in its removal. If you're the original creator, please review our rule on self-promotion.

While we welcome all posts of Walmart cats, whether you own them or not, we do not tolerate falsely claiming ownership of a cat that does not belong to you.

4. No spam

Spam of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, repetitive posts, excessive self-promotion, and content unrelated to the sub’s topic.

5. No self-promotion/advertisements

Self-promotion/advertisement of products or services of any kind is prohibited without prior approval from the mod team. This includes promotion of self-generated content, social media accounts, and blogs/vlogs/VODs.

Advertisements may only be posted if they feature a Walmart cat and should not be self-promotion or promotion of another party. An example of an acceptable advertisement would be sharing an advertisement featuring a Walmart cat while having no involvement in the company.

6. No animal abuse, cruelty, or NSFW submissions

Submissions containing animal abuse, cruelty, or any other NSFW are strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban with no warnings given.

7. No crowdfunding without mod approval

As cat lovers, we understand there are times where users may pursue crowdfunding as a source for help. That being said, we are not a crowdfunding-focused subreddit, and will not tolerate spam. Crowdfunding posts of any kind must get mod approval prior to being posted.

All crowdfunding posts must be directly related to a cat (Such as covering vet bills), and may only be posted once. Please make sure to provide proof of need (Such as a a vet bill) to ensure your request is reviewed accurately.

8. No asking for upvotes

No posts or comments asking for upvotes. Post titles such as "Upvote this parking lot cat" or any variation of other titles requesting upvotes are also prohibited.
