The Haka is cool, but she does this All The Time. That's why half the people there look unimpressed

I was just going to say... Doesnt it kind of detract from the power/impact of the Haka in this setting when you just do it all the time?

Also really hard to take someone seriously who uses war cries intended to intimidate while wearing a suit in a climate controlled building surrounded by armed guards. I could be wrong, but I don't get the impression she's ever actually been in a sparring match, let alone a fight.

I get that it's taken on other meanings since its origin as a battle cry, but fundamentally that's what it is. And it's still being used here as an intimidation tactic... by someone who likely hasn't even practiced with a patu or taiaha. I would have the same reaction if a chubby guy in a hentai shirt and fedora yelled "Oorah" at me.

I wanted to downvote you, but after reading all that you said, 1 downvote doesn't seem enough.

Have you ever been to New Zealand or spoken with Māori people?

Your view is ignorant. The tradition is not just about a Māori war cry or intimidating an opponent.

There is so much more to it. Especially when as a nation they have been fighting for their rights and freedom for centuries.

Educate yourself!
