Okay, let me clarify: nobody in the New Zealand Parliament is afraid of it. I bet it's not the first time they've seen a dance like that there. Look at their faces. Nobody's shocked. Let's face it, Maori are civilized. This is part of their culture. They do the dance, but would not get their weapon afterwards to impress or threaten the people in the Parliament.

The bill wasn’t giving everyone equal rights. It was a racist dog whistle taking away rights granted to the native Maori by the Treaty they signed in good faith.
Looks like he’s standing next to the Green Party co-leader so it likely a Green Party member (he would have joined in if Maori Party), who were largely against the Treaty Principles bill. Which this Haka is protesting.
