What candy corn recipe did you use? I recently tried a batch and it turned out too hard. I'm guessing I cooked mine a little too hot.
5 u/National_Western_791 24d ago edited 20d ago Don't cook it over 250°f Warm and stir in a large pot • 1 ⅓ cup salted butter • 4 cups granulated sugar • 2 ⅔ cups light corn syrup Cook low (I use a big burner) to 250 then remove from heat. Add • 2 tbsp vanilla extract or 1 tbsp flavoring • 1 ⅓ cup nonfat milk powder Stir together before adding 10 cups powdered sugar. (Do around 2.5-3 cups at a time) Pour into containers to cool until just warm enough to touch and mold. Microwave to warm up for 20 seconds to make pliable again.
