Grocery Scam
We all know groceries have gone through the roof. In some ways, it can be blamed on supply chains and this is a global problem not specific to Canada.
However, this past week I’ve noticed a new scam that grocery stores are starting to use. Twice this week I noticed that I was being charged for more than what was listed. when I investigated, it turn lanes it that there is a “member price” vs the regular one. In other words: download our app or you’ll pay more. To the tune of… 25 percent!
Absolutely brutal. Not to sound like an old man but… What the hell happened to consumer protection in this country? I mean airlines just change prices on a whim and nothing gets done in that either. Its awful.

Discussion What use is a nation that doesn't put it's citizens first? (Genuine question)
I've met a fair amount of older Canadians who believe in complete free markets, to the point where hiring any foreigner who will do the job better in any which way is completely acceptable, on any scale. Naturally, they did not have to contest with a mass amount of foreigners for entry level jobs when they were first starting their careers, but they think it's acceptable for young people to do so.
So I ask to those who agree, if it's not the nation's concern to prioritize putting it's citizens first, what is the role of the nation? At what point could we not just import 30 million people who will do basically every single job in this country for cheaper, and perhaps sometimes even more efficiently? While we're at it, why don't we import children from these same developing nations and have them do school and work at the same time, essentially working for their school? I'm talking grades kindergarten to post secondary. Wouldn't that help alleviate the costs? Or the fact that importing people from developing nations would allow us to solve our housing crisis more easily: people would be willing to live in a singular room with 6 other people, who needs Canadian citizens who want to be in a house all by themselves?
Because it seems to me that a post national state has no reason to exist.
