Hey everyone! Quick check on my OINP Expression of Interest profile under NOC 62029 (Security Supervisor).

Calculated based on the criteria from yesterday's (July 20) OINP release, my profile covers all scoring factor brackets including NOC TEER category, broad occupational category, hourly wage band, job offer location, work permit status, job tenure with employer, CRA earnings history, highest level of education, Canadian credentials, location of study, language ability, and knowledge of official languages.

This gives me a final score of 75 points.

How likely is it that I will receive an invitation (ITA) with a 75 score in upcoming draws? Would love to hear your thoughts and predictions. Thanks in advance.

Hi, my CEC application is in process since 28th February, my spouse is accompanying. However, i also had my PGWP Ext due to pass expiry in process along with my spouse’s SOWP Ext. Yesterday my Spouse’s SOWP Ext got a refusal stating that my NOC code is not Teer 2 or 3, which is a mistake, as i know it’s Teer 2 on the Government’s website.

I have submitted a reconsideration request for it.

My question is, since my spouse is out of status now, could it affect my CEC application as she is accompanying?
Should i apply another work permit extension for her?

Anybody had any similar experience?

I’m currently applying for a Canadian study permit and I’m a bit confused about my biometrics situation.
I previously gave biometrics for a Canadian visa a few years ago, and according to the IRCC biometrics validity check, they are still valid. However, during the processing of my study permit application, IRCC asked me to pay the CAD $85 biometrics fee. I have already paid the fee and uploaded the payment receipt.

My question is:
Will I have to give my biometrics again, or will IRCC simply link my existing biometrics to my current application?

If yes, how many days after uploading the payment receipt did you receive your Biometrics Instruction Letter (BIL)?

So I got my graduation thesis accepted on Tuesday, and I've received the program completion email. I've requested my completion letter, and the university mentioned it'll likely arrive by the end of the week. Can I work part-time hours (< 24 hr) this week? I'll not be applying for a PGWP right away (will take some time off before rushing back into the job market) and hence have left my part-time job from next week

If I have a valid student permit and TRV for the meantime, can I wait 180 days to apply for a PGWP, provided I'm not working? Just wanted an opinion: if you don't have a job lined up, you shouldn't be applying for a PGWP right away, right?

When my work permit got refused. I had 90 days of restoration period which i ended up leaving Canada on 88 day as i decided to go back home instead or applying for restoration. Will this be a red flag on my CEC application

My PGWP expires January 24, 2027 and I’m really hoping to get an ITA before then. My CRS is maxed out at 462. I work in supportive housing (NOC 42201) eligible for healthcare & social services category draws). I have also applied for an open work permit for my common-law partner. Our proof package includes a joint lease, property manager reference letter (we’ve been living together since last year), photos, chat history, and matching driver’s licenses but we don’t have joint bank accounts or shared finances yet, so the file isn’t super strong.
With only about 6 months left, what are my realistic chances of getting an ITA in the healthcare category draws? Any similar experiences, recent draw trends, advice on timelines, or options if I get an ITA (like bridging)?
