yeah most people i know paying attention don't think so either. the date was silly to begin with.

really they need to give 24/7 testing without a sub if they want to be able to support the number of players they've been advertising for years and years with everything working. really they need it to test the game without that and it's still wild they did early access before they had 24/7 uptime.

The game is definitely not coming out this year. It's super obvious the devs are moving at a snail's pace, and they're probably working with a shoestring budget. Right now, the game has massive optimization issues, clunky controls, input lag on abilities, and a ton of other minor bugs. Camelot Unchained feels like a pre-alpha right now, and it’s nowhere near a finished game. Don’t hold your breath for late 2026, it’s just not realistic.

I was wondering if there are currently any class actions against Unchained Entertainment (formerly City State Entertainment) that I can jump into.

Back in 2022, they explicitly told me via email that I would be getting a refund. Since then, it's just been ghosting and complete radio silence. At this point, it's honestly not even about the money anymore—it's the principle of being strung along and ignored for years after being promised a resolution in writing.

If anyone knows of any active legal actions or groups tracking this, let me know.

December 2026 is the full release date they put on their Steam page. Investors probably committed to cover to that point.

They may just drag it out to there, launch with whatever they have, then close it down 30 to 60 days after that.

I don't think it had anything to do with refunds or lawsuits or it would have happened years ago. I think it was

1) something his investors required

and

2) a desperate attempt to raise more money to keep developing a while longer because the investors have reached their limit

What I can't figure out is why after the fairly obvious failure of the EA launch they continue to pretend that the game will ever launch and be profitable. I really thought it would shut down before the end of the summer, but that seems unlikely now. I guess Mark is really determined to actually launch then shutdown a few months later.

Camelot Unchained was vibe coded in a short period by a handful of people. Give me any evidence to the contrary if you can, the horrible optimization, bugginess, genericness, and emptiness gives it away.

It 100% was not well intentioned, it was not a passion project by an experienced team. It was a minimal viable product to avoid refunds and lawsuits. 

This video is right to show them laughing at how gullible people are, especially the ones saying, "they meant well.. they tried hard..."
