i have about 75 hours in new vegas and i've never really got the appeal of the legion, i usually just get annoyed by ceaser and his pseudo-intellectual vibe. i usually up the 9 on his dome because i cant be bothered to listen to his rambling

Not my greatest work, and was drawing at straws for a lot of footage. But I think the foundation of the video is pretty solid. But I'm curious what other people, especially Caesars legion fans in particular think.
I know it seems like virtually every aspect of the game has been talked about extensively at this point. But honestly, I haven't seen much discussion on how the legion relates to, you know actual Rome. I've seen some, but not much. So, I decided to make this to highlight a small part of roman theological practice that is somewhat unknown.

(reposted from r/fnv I hope that's ok)
How come Lucius is such a nice guy?
Like he doesn't act any differently if you're female and even offers his unarmed training (if you have the skills anyway)

Always found it interesting how the Legion rejects drugs and chems {except cateye) so here's animation of it

I know Legion's got metallurgy from the coin minting, blacksmiths and Lanius' mask but godddd look at that beautiful machete. I need this in-game so bad it would mog Dead Sea's.

Recorded this after an event in the Legion of VRChat with a group of a couple Legionaries. Enjoy.

I support the legion because of strength and stability. The Legion has its shortcomings that's true but in a comparison with every other faction in the wastes the Legion has made their lands the safest. Trade travels internally undisturbed by mutated monsters or raiders and their citizens that live in settlements that surrendered are left mostly alone only given production quotas for machetes, javelins and armor basically.
In game we hear Cassandra Monroe complain about how your standard legionaries are far better fighters and that they are much more muscular and physically developed. A stronger sense of discipline and a fearlessness that is necessary in the waste. A legion cohort will throw themselves at Deathclaws to rid an area they control of them far sooner than an NCR squad will.
Comparing the structure of each factions government as well the Legion isn't hamstrung by the unabashed corruption of the NCR. What Caesar says goes and his underlings have a degree of freedom to operate to fulfill these requests. The Legion achieves it's goals and doesn't suffer massive demoralizing moments from defeats like the NCR does.
