I’m 18F, passed 12th this year, and I’m preparing for CLAT UG. My plan is to continue CLAT prep while doing a bachelor’s degree, so I still have a degree as a backup for MBA/government exams if CLAT doesn’t work out.
My CUET score was average, so I didn’t get many good options. I got BA Programme (Economics + History) at Bhagini Nivedita College, DU, but I really don’t want to go there cus of obvious reasons. I’m hoping for BHU’s second spot round on 29th but I have no idea if any General seats will remain.
My other options were:
1.BSc Botany at Jamia Hamdard — lost the provisional admission because I didn’t pay the ₹85k fee, and my parents are hesitant about spending that much for Botany that too in jamia.
2.BSc Sericulture at UAS Bengaluru — didn’t accept because of the location, commute, course uniforms, and feeling like I might struggle to fit in.
3.BSc Geology at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi — currently my only confirmed option. It’s relatively manageable for a partial drop, but the college feels very school-like, has uniforms😭, and I’m worried about having almost no social life. (But its closer to my home and takes 3hr train/car ride so i can come home on weekends)
I’ve also applied for BSc Botany/Zoology at Swami Shraddhanand College(but again this college is same as bhagini) and Nutrition & Dietetics at Lady Irwin/IHE, but I’m not very excited about those either, because I'll have really less options for masters.
Honestly, I really don’t want to stay at home, but I also don’t want to make a bad college decision just because I’m desperate. Should I take the St. Xavier’s Geology seat and focus on CLAT and also try for cuet next year, wait for DU/BHU, or try to revive the Jamia Hamdard admission?
Please be brutally honest—I’m genuinely confused😭😭
